Crafted from Siam oak. the Performer Series 11-3/4" conga drum sings in upper frequencies with full open tones and crackle with high pitched slaps. EZ-Curve rims and tucked heads come standard.
These are excellent drums for the value. They have a great sound. Unfortunately, LP uses the standard lug hardware instead of the heavy-duty hardware. I have owned the set of "Performer Series" tumbadoras for about 2 years and would recommend these drums for students. I would encourage you to replace the tension rods on the quinto and conga, with LP heavy-duty hardware; especially if you are a performer. These tension rods bend very easy...
