The LP552X's specially selected, kiln dried, environmentally friendly Siam Oak provides a warm overall tone, while the unique shell contour brings out the drum's mids and highs. Topped with a hand-picked natural rawhide head, Comfort Curve II rim, 5/16" diameter tuning lugs, and reinforced with LP Heart side plates secured with backing plates. A layer of fiberglass is added to the inside upper portion of the shell to provide additional strength. 12-1/2" head. 30" tall.

Excellent

I have an LP classic conga/tumbadora set and am very happy with it. The sound is excellent--deep and powerful. Construction, fit and finish are top notch. All the hardware is high quality.
