  Compared this to the cheapest offered on the website and I feel like this was a good buy for my first ukulele- the strings are durable and flexible and hold tune well over many hours of playing and the wood was even better-looking than I expected it to be. I would say that it is a good buy over the more expensive if you are getting your first ukulele.

  This was my first Uke, so it may not be of much help. I ordered it and almost payed for 3 day shipping, but I didn't and lo and behold on the third day it was at my house. I learned all the chords in an hour and I love it. I just wish there was a case for it. It's an odd shape so i don't know who'd make one. Great Uke for the money. Stays in tune, Awesome

  The Lanikai Uke, despite being delayed by several snow storms, was promptly delivered to me within a week. It arrived in excellent condition, and sounded amazing right out of the box (after its virgin tuning, of course). Once broken in, it requires little tuning maintenance and can be incredibly addicting to play. After my brother fiddled with it, he decided to buy his own: its sister, concert version. We couldn't be happier with our purchases, as it is a very rewarding hobby.
