  I'm a guitarist who wanted to take up the Uke. This was the perfect starter kit for me. The string spacing is wider than a standard Uke and is comfortable for me to play. I am very impressed with the quality and construction of this Uke. It looks and plays great. It's very nice especially for the price. I pulled it out of the box, tuned it up and started playing all the songs in the book. Easy and lots of fun.

  I've had this uke for at least 7 or 8 months now and play it on a regular basis. I like to wait a while before reviewing a product to make sure I know it inside and out. The tone and projection of sound is quite nice for a uke in this price range and visually, it is stunning. I played many ukes in a variety of price ranges and this one seemed to be the best value for the money. Playability is great, largely due to the wider than normal string spacing. I read a review on here that the intonation was off and the tuners were of poor quality, but mine stays in tune forever. As far as the intonation goes, it's pretty darn good, only the slightest variance in note accuracy occurs after around the 14th fret. What I would recommend is bringing a tuner with you to the store and play a few different ukes testing for intonation as quality is sure to vary from piece to piece. Oh, and speaking of tuners, the included tuner is quite nice and has been very realiable. Two small negatives: 1.The gold tuners are starting to tarnish a little 2.The case is cool, but not very protective. I managed to get a small dent in the back of my fretboard while the uke was in its case. Overall I am extremely happy with this purchase. In fact, I play my uke more than my guitars now!

  Absolutely love my new uke. Thank you Guitar Center for my new 'toy'. It looks and sounds great, and was delivered to my house without any problems. I have a more expensive uke and can't really tell much difference in the tones.
