A great beginner's guitar that looks as mean as it sounds!

The Laguna LE50 Electric Guitar is the "little brother" of the Laguna LE200, and is perfect for smaller hands. Put simply: the LE50 rocks. For your first guitar, you can't go wrong with it! The slim-tapered neck and shallow C shape provide a comfortable feel, and the hard rock maple neck will stay straight and true. The basswood body and high-output ceramic magnet pickups offer up clean, biting tone, while the black satin finish and black hardware make the Laguna LE50 guitar look as mean as it sounds.

Bought this guitar for my 12 yr old daughter who is into Rock/Metal and wanted to learn how to play. It sound great and it's the perfect size ofr the youngsters. The look is very cool and for the price you CAN'T GO WRONG!!!!!!!

  • Great Guitar for the price. Mini guitar needs Mini strings.

As reviewed by Joey on 6/18/2011

Great sound from this little guitar with a minor tweak. It's a mini guitar and unless the mini fingers playing the guitars are experts, you should be using small gauge strings. Since i dropped a set of Ernie Ball extra slinky's in this ax, it stays in tune much longer. I was a little worried when I first bought it because of the low ratings, but am happy with the quality of the guitar. The pick ups have a nice metal/rock sound to them and my 9 year old boy loves the black satin finish. It's a basic beginner guitar with great sound and style.

  • Attractive looking but...

As reviewed by billyjesus on 3/28/2011

If you don't care if you are in tune or not or whether or not your kid starts off his/her epic guitar career knowing how a correct 'D' chord sounds or whatever then buy this and mute out to some rhythmic jams because after a couple strums the thing is launching out of tune. I bought one for my son last Xmas and it looks cool and he whaps on it (4yrs old) but when I got my hands on it and tried to play it, it was laughable. I did a complete set up on it because as it was from the factory I had no choice. With new strings, string height adjustment, the neck is fine for what it is, adjusted intonation which was WAY WAY off! ... It plays much better but still REFUSES to stay in tune. For kids starting guitar in my opinion, being in tune and ear training should come damn near 1st. The tuners must me molded from mac and cheese. Overall the guitar isn?t good enough to go blow money on decent tuners for it so whatever.... my review conclusion is; I WISH I BOUGHT SOMETHING ELSE. Live and learn... never buy a guitar you don?t physically inspect and play with for a bit, it?s dumb. I?ve already had to solder in a new plug jack too? all the solder points were garbage. Bye.
