• Great Guitar at a Great Price

  This guitar had all the features I was looking for in my price range but there wasn't much customer feedback when I made my purchase so I hope others can benefit from this. Guitar looks fantastic - the sunburst with brushed chrome hardware and overall design are just beautiful. Neck - very comfortable, one of the best I've ever played. It has a nicely aged and broken in feel to it. The maple fingerboard had some birdseye in it which made it look more attractive to me. Tuners - laguna locking tuners which work as they should. Bridge - Wilkinson tremolo which feels really smooth. However this isn't a guitar where you can do divebombing vibrato stuff and still be in tune, even with locking tuners but for me it's an improvement over stock Fender type systems. Pickups - not bad. The single coils sound like single coils although a little muddy. Bridge humbucker sounds generic but is very good. Some may want to swap out for some hotter pickups but I find them good enough for my taste. Bottom Line - glad I bought this guitar. I felt I got a bargain for all the features and would recommend buying it. Have a professional set up though. The Wilkinson seems to work and sound better with .010 gauge strings vs. the .009s it came with. Great guitar for the warm jazz sounds to the shreddy metal sounds I like. Looks great and once properly set-up, it's very comfortable to play.

  ok first of let me say im an experienced guitarist thats in a large band that plays around ky,ohio,tn and other place's and has been playing for a while now. let me tell you this guitar is amazing i picked one up in guitar center not expecting much at all and was amazed at the play ability first off of this guitar, secondly is the actual tone of it its sweet and punch and even addicting. this thing does every thing from cleans to shred to good old metal. personly i like it for shred and 80's metal but u could also play from jazz to hardcore on it, also the one i played had almost rusted strings on it and still played amazing and had sustain for days!!! well let me say this guitar is amazing and worth the money 100% dont listen to the bad review's personly i just think they picked the guitar up and did not set it uo which is a need for any guitar good or bad and thats where the "tuning" problem arose from :P it just show's lack of experience really. but any ways this guitar is for the beginner to advanced player looking for a back up guitar or a main guitar really its great go play on and i guarantee you'll love it.

  Fantastic Instrument ~ great sustain and very open "breathy" clean tones. The Alnico Pickups are a perfect match for the guitar and sound great ~ no need to upgrade to Duncans or Dimarzios. The Wilkerson Tremolo & Sperzel Locking Tuners work great with the Graphite Nut to keep the guitar in tune. I did remove the strings from the string trees and with the straight pull they glide through the nut smoothly. I only use the Trem for vibrato and not for heavy pitch bends. The Ash Body coupled with the Maple on Maple Neck is a very nice sounding combination with great sustain and warmth. All in all it smokes the $1,000+ Warmoth Custom build it replaced, and I really liked that guitar a lot.
