Awesome Guitar!

I went into Guitarcenter to try out a few versatile, fixed bridge guitars, as I play rhythm guitar in a metal band and lead/rhythm in a pop rock band. I saw this guitar on its stand when I walked in, and I just had to try it because I had no idea Laguna had a fixed bridge guitar. It turns out that the store had just gotten them in the day before. When I tried it out, not only did it have a better clean and distorted sound than any other guitar I tried out (Ibanezes, Schecters, Squiers, etc... Solid bodies and Semi-hollows), but it could produce a wider range of sounds with its 5-way pickup selector and was cheaper than anything else I looked at. I went in the next day with the money to get it, and my band mates in both bands think it's the greatest!

Amazing

I first saw this guitar at guitar center. I went in looking for a Randy Rhoads V or a Kirk Hammett signature, i tried both, and this easily beat them. Has a louder sound, easier to hold, the neck feels much better. Aesthetically it looks amazing. The matte prevents fingerprints, and it looks really cool. The body feels soft, the bridge is in an excellent place. And the fact that this beat the 700 and 500 dollar guitars is amazing. Guitar for everyone. Doesn't feel cheap. I would buy one now or soon, because I can really see the price going up in a year.

Very nice guitar for the money!

Yay I think I am the first one to own one of these puppies. Went to guitar center looking for an Ibanez RG series and seen this baby starring at my from afar. About the same time the salesman had recommended a Laguna guitar. It was destiny. This guitar is very comfortable and light weight. It is very comparable to the Ibanez RG series however the pickups in this guitar sounded a little better to my war. I am running it on a Line 6 Spider III 75w amp. Cleans sound amazing and I can also get a warmer les paul type sound out of this guitar. Very nice looking and feels nice in the hand. Neck is smooth and slim which is good for someone like me with smaller hands. Action was perfect as is. I was a bit hesitant because I have not heard anything about the Laguna brand but I am very happy with the decision I made!

Insane Value!

After bouncing around guitars for over a month trying to decide on what to buy to upgrade over my strat knockoff (I'm a new player, returning to guitar after a long hiatus) I picked this up on a whim at GC and it blew away ever other affordable guitar i'd been trying and even most of the more expensive mid-range guitars I was looking at. From heavy distortion to clean, this thing just sounds clear and amazing and the sustain lasts a really long time with the string-thru bridge. The pots and the 5-way switch all feel really rugged and solid, not at all what I've found on other low-end guitars. The tuners are fantastic and haven't let this get out of tune in the two weeks I've been playing it thus far and the nut isn't cheap plastic (teflon/graphite) which also amazed me. The action, fit, finish and curves make this one sexy beast and I'm proud to own one. Very playable, very fast, and very light so you can stand with it for hours and not get tired while you enjoy the awesome tones it puts out. If you're looking for something affordable with a hardtail bridge, don't be shy about picking up this thing. It's worth far more than its low price and the fact that I forgot all about the Schecters and Ibanezes I was fauning over at the time I picked this up probably means something. Before I bought this I did my web research and I found nothing but awesome words regarding Laguna/Brawley guitars. I can't believe I almost didn't pay any attention to Laguna because I thought it was a crap brand. I was dead wrong and I'm glad I was! Oh and for what it's worth, Laguna plants a tree for every guitar it makes.
