• Excellent Bass for a great price!

  I found this bass and couldn't say no. It was marked down so you get the quality of a medium quality bass with the low quality price tag. Any bass under a certain price range before sales and coupons is usually gonna be a PoS. The dual battery powered pickups are a nice touch as long as you keep spares around. You will probably go through a battery every month or so depending on how much you play. But the average player will get a good month out of the battery before having to switch it out. Uses standard 9V batteries so no biggie. I dont know what the low reviews on here are talking about, the neck is straight as can be and none of the frets buzz, plus just tweak the neck if you have an issue. For the price this is probably the best you can get next to the Laguna LB224 if you can find it. Great bass for any player.

  This bass rocks for how little it costs, and it feels great. Construction is really nice. I seriously wonder if the reviewers who are complaining about action and buzzing frets know that there is a truss rod, and if you don't know how to adjust it yourself, you can pay someone a very reasonable amount of money to do it for you. Don't let their misguided reviews deter you from considering this bass. This thing rocks! The active EQ sounds awesome - it's your standard volume/blend/treble boost/bass boost knob configuration, pretty common for a P/J. With a simple setup this bass feels and sounds great.

  This bass plays wonderfully for the price, it has awesome features, more than that of the Ibanez GSR200. A few things it has over the GSR200 is: treble boost/cut, 24 frets, pickup blend, etc. Don't let the price fool you, it will play great, I just had to tighten the tuners a little bit, but the only real problem I have is the buzzing, if you play fast, I don't know what's causing it, it's not overly buzzing, it could be just me not pressing down hard enough on the fretboard, maybe the neck just needs a little more relief. It can play jazz and rock both equally well, as well as slap & pop. I'm just a beginner, only had it for a week and a half so far, but I am satisfied. The look of it is just beautiful, the transparent red is much darker than it is shown on the internet. Plus, the bass has a sleek design, as well, it's a powerful and sexy axe. I play this with a Peavey Max 158 bass amp, which I will also be doing a review on. One thing I wish is that this bass would be able to play without a battery, but that's what you get for buying an active bass, but it's not a bad thing though, it's just that if you want that control, you won't get it. The 4 controls on the bass are of course, volume, pickup blend, bass boost/cut, and treble boost/cut. The boosts are up to 12db. It's an awesome bass for such a great price. The bottom line is you need to get this bass if you're a beginner, or are just looking for an extra bass.
