The Lace Sensor Gold Pickup offers you world-class tone. Lace has built these world famous patented pickups since 1985. Used exclusively by Fender until 1996, these pickups have the same specifications with the same great tone. Gold Lace Sensor pickups are designed to duplicate an early Fender single coil pickup.

With crisp top end and bell-like tone, the Lace Sensor Gold utilizes the latest technology to provide excellent tone for today's players.

The Lace Sensor Gold has a unique radiant Field Barrier system that surrounds both the coil and magnets, reducing annoying 60-cycle hum. The patented Lace Micro Combs replace traditional bobbins, yielding a wider tonal range and better string balance than traditional pickups.

Unlike ordinary pickups, the Lace Sensor Gold generates 36 separate magnetic "sensing" fields which, in the areas where they contact the string, "read" the strings' vibration. (Regular pickups only generate anywhere from 4 to 12 fields).

The Lace Sensor Gold also has Radiant Field Barriers: metal slides that frame the inner core of the Sensors and perform two functions. The first is to shield the Sensor from the outside noise and 60-cycle hum. The second is to produce broader, yet more concentrated, umbrellas of sensing field than standard magnetic pickups.

Less Noise, More Harmonics
As compared to standard pickups, the Lace Sensor Gold reads a greater physical area of the string, while picking up less outside interference. This makes the signal-to-noise ratio nothing short of phenomenal for a single coil system. Also, a wider range of harmonic content is read by the Sensor, delivering a more complex tonal response.

Increased Sustain, Truer Pitch
Since it operates so efficiently, Lace Sensors can utilize much lower energy magnets than ordinary pickups, and this in turn brings about a whole new realm of properties. In regular pickups, the magnetic fields are so strong they physically dampen, or drag on, the strings' vibration, reducing sustain and actually changing the pitch. But in the Lace Sensor Gold, string dampening is virtually nonexistent. This means your sustain is increased dramatically while the string holds its true pitch for the duration of the note.

Lace includes a three-inch mini data CD that includes all its latest wiring diagrams in color along with Lace's most current pickup and guitar catalogs. Also includes a warranty card and other useful information regarding Lace Music Products.

By Vikas

Comments about Lace Sensor Gold Pickup:

Ordered a white pickup and was delivered a black one. How difficult can it be to ship the right colour?

This is the second time in 6 months that GC has delivered me the wrong product!! Absolutely ridiculous.

Good pickup on its own

By Tom Polizzi

from CT

Comments about Lace Sensor Gold Pickup:

I bought this for my American Special Strat in the neck position, and when I'm in the neck position this thing sings! But if you switch to 4th position, where it mixes with my Texas Special I have in the mid, it murdered the tone I originally had with all Texas Specials. Dont get me wrong, it's a great pickup, but only if you buy 3.

Comments about Lace Sensor Gold Pickup:

These pickups are a great replacement on my fender. The old pickups gave a humming sound where as these are dead silent. Not one sound when not playing. They sound just like traditional 50's strat but with even more clarity. It sounds soooo clean like crystal. It looks smooth and plays even smoother. The people at guitar center installed them flawlessly leaving me with nothing to worry about. You can achieve much more variety of tone from deep smooth notes to crystal clear searing solos. Every time I buy a new guitar, I buy these pickups immediatly to install. Buying new pickups is a great idea to improve the sound of your guitar and to stand out from the rest.

Lace sensor gold

By Strat man

from Mahwah, NJ

Comments about Lace Sensor Gold Pickup:

This is the greatest pickup I have ever used! on clean tone it mesmerizes and on distortion it growls. It has the cleanest sound I have ever heard from any pickup, but when you go distorted, it growls and bites. It gives you a nice clean pink Floyd sound to hotter tones reaching to acdc and black sabbath. This pickup on distortion contains not one bit of muddiness. Each note is still intricate and separate of played as a sweep. Palm mutes are amazing and clean tone shines. This pickup increased my sustain by 3 seconds and clarity by a mile.

A Reliable Old Friend

By John Lumagui

from Lexington, KY

Comments about Lace Sensor Gold Pickup:

I've been using Lace Gold Sensors on and off for about ten years. They are balanced, with a nice warmth about them. They don't sound like classic Strat pickups, so if that's your bag, look elsewhere. However, they have their own vibe about them. Lately, I've taken to use them in the middle position on all my HSS guitars. In conjunction with a hot, mid-scooped pickup-- like a Dimarzio Steve's Special, they act as a midrange driver. It steals just enough heat away to create a solid rhythm chunk. By themselves, they are solid and reliable. They also play nice with others.
