Overview

The new Alumitone Bass Bars were designed by Jeff Lace as an upgrade to bass guitars that use conventional size soap-bar pickups.

This is the Bass Bar 4.0, designed for a 5-string bass.

All Bass Bar Alumitone pickups feature zero noise, ultra-wide frequency response and lightweight design. A reduction of up to two pounds of weight can be achieved by replacing conventional-style pickups with this new technology without any modification to the guitar itself.

These "current driven" pickups are designed for passive installation. However, due to their low resistance, they will not only work with existing preamp technology but will enhance the sonic range of it, as well.

Alumitone Bass Bar technology uses patented and patent pending technology only available thru Lace Music Products.

Formally introduced for Earth Day, the revolutionary Alumitone family of pickups use 95% less copper wire then standard pickup designs. By reducing the need for copper it saves valuable resources, reduces open-pit mining, and reduces the need for the energy consuming process of converting copper ore to fine wire.

This 4.0" model is for a 5-string bass. Use the Bass Bar 3.5" for a 4-string or the Bass Bar 4.5" for a 6-string bass.

Great Upgrade from stock

By Austin Davis

from Kansas

Can't go wrong with the alumitone. Has great highs and defined lows. The tone knob works way better with this pickup than the stock. Well worth the money for a lightweight, easy to install pickup. I would recommend this to anyone that plays bass.

Alumitone bass pickups on Ibenez 5-string

By Austin Davis

from Kansas

Bought these pickups for my Ibenez gio and wow they pick up the highs so much better. Also has a very nice punch to them now. They are light and compact and not too hard to install. On my stock pickup the tone knob seemed useless but now it makes a huge difference. They finally have me hooked!
