Cutting-edge passive pickups with huge sonics and totally unique look - now pre-loaded in a great-looking pickguard.

The radical Lace Alumitone guitar pickups have less resistance and high output with clear, big frequency response in a completely noise-free passive design. Constructed with aluminum rather than copper, they have a current driven design as opposed to conventional voltage-based pickups. The aluminum water jet cut exoskeleton is matted with a micro-winding using 90% less copper wire than traditional designs for an extremely lightweight and efficient pickup. Sonically, this gives these guitar pickups more volume, more bass, and more mids with nice, clear, smooth high frequency response that cuts.Alumitone pickups normally require a slight pickguard modification, but now you can order a cool pickguard preloaded with 3 of these awesome guitar pickups - 2 single-coil and 1 humbucker!Lace includes a warranty card and other useful information regarding Lace Music Products.

With our Guaranteed Lowest Price, you can be assured of complete satisfaction and the lowest available price, or your money back!

  • Questionable Quality

As reviewed by Steve on 8/28/2009

I researched the Alumitone pickups, and knew I wanted them to replace my existing stock ones. I figured that this combo with the pearloid pickguard would be the perfect item. Pickups are excellent, the pickguard is great, but unfortunately the pots, 5-way switch, and wiring were total import crap. My MIM strat's original pots and 5-way switch were far superior. I had to spend an extra hundred dollars having my tech install the good pots and 5-way switch, as well as soldering the wiring correctly. (The original soldering was horrendous...half the wires were barely attached to the switch). This is where they cut corners to keep the price down, so buyer beware. It'd probably be better to just buy the pickups seperately and install them. The money you supposedly save here by getting the loaded package is spent having it correctly re-modified to better quality.

  • ITS OK?????

As reviewed by MICHAEL on 11/22/2009

i gave it 3 stars because of 2 reasons... 1. they only use 1 .022mf tone cap for BOTH tone controls.. has NO tonal range whatsoever... i fixed it by using 2 separate .033mf ORANGE DROPS in its place.. now it has better than decent tone control.. 2. it seems to be a little chimmey with its tone... its like it has some chorus at all times.. these were the CONS to this product.. PROS... built very well and everything is well soldered.. has good bass and mid punch.. not to much shrill on the treble but with harmonics you can get shrill if you want too... i installed this into a brand new MIGHTY MITE quilt maple body using a MIM strat neck and trem system off of a 60's reissue road worn strat available at GC... the maple gives it some good growl... if you buy this go with the O.D. tone control caps it will make a big difference in tone

  • Absolutly Fantastic!!!

As reviewed by Mike on 6/11/2009

I am absolutly satisfied with these Alumitone pick ups. They are way more then I expected. The tones are very clear, crisp, and clean. No hum what so ever. I have had these for about 4 months now and I can not believe the difference. When compared with the Fender stock, stratocaster pups. You will not be dissapionted with these pick ups. Way to go Don Lace.
