NICE for the PRICE!

By Baker

from Poconos, PA

After almost a year of searching for the right combination of sound, look, and price, this quinto conga brought it! The vintage fade finish is both unusual and beautifully done. The hardware is rock solid, not thin and cheap like some others drums in this price range. Note: Most of the tuning rod plate, hanger bracket, and handle mounting bolts were 3/4 of a turn or more loose when I checked them. It's always recommended to check these when you get a new drum, but I was a bit surprised at just how loose these were. After about 45 minutes of tightening, tuning and tweaking, I had this drum singing. Nice tone, both on open notes and slaps. (Great slaps!) The natural hide heads do have a couple of small raised blemishes, but this is also normal at this price range. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase. A great looking and sounding drum at a moderate price. What more could you want?!
