My favorite bell

By Richard Moquin

from South Windsor, CT

This bell is rather large compared to my other cowbells. But, it is a standout I can't resist using in my kit. I will probably add this to my cowbell pedal and give it the kick. I can't resist the different sound an effect can add to percussion. I have four different cowbells and three different bells. Of course, you use these effects in a subtle manner, but the accent they add is worth it. I am not a musician that plays out, but I love the latin flair bells add to the music phrasing.

Less Cowbell

By Lucy McCollom

from Edmond, OK

This cowbell has a high pitch quality. As well, it rings, so if you are looking for a deep dead cowbell this is not for you. Good cowbell though

a good cowbell!

By Preston

from sussex WI

I have herd that this was better for Latin music, but I bought it for my rock drums anyway. it works very well and goes with my 5 and 6", which i play simultaneously with the 7". it's alittle awkward sounding at first (like it's "not exactly 6", not exactly 8") but when played right, it can sound awesome!

Simple But Effective

By DW_PedalMan6

from Palm Springs, CA

The LP A406 "Aspire" cowbell has a good latin sound, for Salsa or Merengue. I mostly use it for Cumbia style music and Old School Funk. It does have a very good mid-tone, the overtones sound great. If that's not you're style, just simply put some BLACK duct tape around the edge of the bell and you got a tight Rock style bell. With a sharp attack and quick drop off. Not the sweetest sounding bell you'll ever hear, but when played around other tones and instruments, it blends in just perfect. This bell an ecxellent deal when comparing price over sound.
