OLE!!!

By carlos camacho

Comments about LP Americana Groove Cajon:

This Cajon have the exact and perfect sound, way better than most of traditional sounds i've found in spain, this cajon is 100% complete, deep sound and a powerful bass! this can be a good competition to couple of the best brands of cajon makers in the world! ( PRK, PORRINA, ETC.)

Comments about LP Americana Groove Cajon:

I've mostly only explored the various cajons offered at Guitar Center, and hearing other ones played elsewhere, and I've come to the conclusion that this is indeed the best one yet. (If you like the jingles and snare foot-switches, this doesn't have those) but if its sound you're looking for, this is it. I have never heard a better bass sound in a cajon that also doesn't have too much of the snare sound in there. The highs/ snare do its job and can pop well. I enjoy the height of this cajon too compared to some others that are sometimes too short making you more uncomfortable. If this is at all your price range or even just a little more, I would suggest paying that little more to go from a super cheap, rattling, quiet "cajon", to this wonderful musical instrument.

Quality at a Good Price

By Jonathan D Hughes

Comments about LP Americana Groove Cajon:

After looking at several Cajons, I decided on the Americana Groove by LP. The Baltic Birch is highly resonate with great highs, midrange and lows. Easy to mic. I was also looking for a cajon made in the USA and handcrafted. I'm a big guy so buying cajon seat was a must. It make it much more comfortable to play.

Comments about LP Americana Groove Cajon:

Tho I wanted to love the Cajon, it lacked versatility. The sound was better than most cajon's out there, (and I've tried most under $200 but the snare aspect of it was a little lack luster. It had a few key beats that it could do well, but there was nothing that stood out along the top. Most of the sound was centered with a little bleed through from bass to snare. Not much versatility there - however, I did compare this to some of the lower line pear's Meinl and LP's and the sound was "bigger" than others. So compared to some of the other cajon's, this one wasn't bad. I rated it as a "3" - a handmade Cajon using high end snares and woods would score a 5, the higher end Cajon's in the 3-400 dollar range would score a 4 and this is a solid 3. If the snare was any better it would get a 4.
