The LP Mic Claw ensures solid placement of microphones on snare drums, toms, congas, and amplifiers. The claw's Z-shaped 3/8"-diameter microphone rod allows for close or extended mic positioning. The LP microphone claw's improved rubber-lined jaw and mount isolates your mic from drum vibration and cross talk.

I have used LP Claws on both congas, djembe, bongos, toms, & tamborine even my harp amp. They are invaluable at saving space, especially on stage & in the studio. The quality of how they are made is exceptional & mine have never failed me. If you are a serious percussionist or professional you need these.
This is exactly what I was looking for: A clamp that will stay put, while taking up minimal space and wont touch the drum shell. The LP clamp is all of these things, plus a little more I hadn't counted on. Currently I have my snare mic clipped to the bottom (snare side) hoop with the mic pointed at the batter head. This keeps the LP claw out of the way. I also really love the build quality of the LP claw. It's made of solid metal and when you clamp this thing down, you get that warm / fuzzy feeling that your mic isn't going anywhere.
I am very happy with my LP Microphone Claw as I am using it to hold an LP Super Guiro in place where I can reach it, clasped onto the rim of one of my congas. Also, it will hold a microphone. I probably will buy more of these when I try to record my set.
