More Versatile Than It Appears

It doesn't show in the photo, but the slot on one side is towards the top, whereas the slot on the other side is towards the bottom, which means that there is a subtle but noticeable difference in tone depending on where you strick the block. The supplied mallet works great, but if you set the block on a hard surface or mount it you can also tap out a fast rhythm with standard drumsticks. It also sounds surprisingly good when struck with mallets.
