LP Tito Puente Bronze Timbalitos are the smallest-diameter drums in the series. LP designed Timbalitos after a close study of the sounds Tito Puente produced. Recognizing that shell composition is the key to an authentic cascara and complex harmonics from the heads, LP employs the same phosphor bronze in the drum shells as that used in cymbals.
The LP272-BZ timbalito shell is thicker than in previous drums producing more bite and warmth. Rimshots are more resonant and the dynamic range achieved with sticks or fingers is wider. LP includes a heavy-duty, height-adjustable tilting stand, cowbell bracket, pair of sticks, and tuning wrench with Tito Puente Bronze Timbalitos.

These timabalitos do what the timbale cannot. When you have to cut through the big band or rock band, and you have to play a frequency that no one can compete with, with an attack that makes the horn players straighten up, then you pull out these small but vicious guns. Much better than the brass due to the heavy bronze metal and deeper drum design. Timbalitos are supposed to be fire crackers not tin pans. Stand works great and actually much better than the standard LP series.
