Good for the person just starting out, but if you plan on taking playing seriously you need to invest in good old fashioned wood, otherwise you won't quite get the sound you want.
I've used this scraper with the super guiro, and the end result is something to plastic-y for my tastes. As a scraper, however, it fits well in my hand and is a good length. I imagine it would actually sound pretty good with a wooden guiro, though I've never tried. But, yeah. If you use this with the super guiro, expect a really loud, mechanical, plastic sound.
