    This is a very standard made-in-China double-braced stand base. It's perfectly decent for what it is. The problem is that the stand will tend to "walk" when you play energetically, so you have to keep re-positioning it, or use a clamp to lock it to the rest of your hardware. That walking (and then fixing) is very annoying and unprofessional-looking. In other words, though there is absolutely nothing wrong with this stand base in terms of construction or quality, it really isn't something I'd recommend. Instead, I suggest attaching the upper part of the bongo stand to a more stable structure, such as a drum rack. Or if you want to play with the bongos in the traditional position between the legs, then you could clamp the upper part of the base to the stem of your drum throne. That way it is definitely not going anywhere!
