The LP congas' EZ-Curve rims feature heightened durability, comfort, and a unique skin wire channel. Also standard are 9/32"-diameter tuning rods, reinforced side plates, specially selected rawhide tucked heads, and chrome hardware.
The conga drum set comes with a double-braced, height-adjustable chrome conga stand.

I got these congas for a birthday/christmas present last year. I had been really wanting congas. I know these are expensive, but they're definitely worth the price! The fact that it's a set of two drums makes your possibilities of playing with it endless. It can get the sound you want. Now, I'm no professional or anything, actually I've never had lessons with this style of percussion because I live in the middle of nowhere, but these congas can do what I want them to do. On Christmas Day, my dad and I set them up. It probably took us about 10 minutes or less. It was really easy to set up and tune. I play these quite often, and I have no problems whatsoever. Since this is a hand drum, it doesn't matter how hard you hit it since it won't break. Another one of the reasons I wanted these were because of the look. Look at it. It's amazing, with it's design from one of the Santana albums. I wouldn't get any other congas!
Excellent service having product shipped to store for pickup. For the money these congas sound great. The Abraxis artwork on the congas is breathtaking, especially to old hippies like myself who loved Santana then and now. If Carlos approved this set how can you miss rather beginner or pro. Well done LP and guitar center. Also they look great in the man cave. 5 stars x 2
