This LP Aspire Accents cajon has a front ply hardwood playing surface with a solid hardwood body. Its large rubber feet keep it in place while you're pounding out those tasty beats.
The LP Aspire cajon gains its emphatic bottom-end from a solid hardwood body, constructed from woods chosen for their resonant properties. The interior houses a set of wire snares for those authentic flamenco trills and the durable hardwood front panel is adjustable with varying screw tension. The internal snare wires are easily accessed and adjusted, as is the front panel.
The height is a convenient 17-1/4", comfortable for all players, while the width is 12" for ample resonance. To ensure that bass tones are not grounded into hardwood or otherwise non-carpeted floors, the LP Aspire cajon drum is fitted with large rubber feet.
Priced well and constructed sturdily, the Latin Percussion cajon is the perfect hand drum to introduce students, hobbyists, and even working club musicians to one of the hottest percussion instruments on the planet.

If you are going to spend $140 for a wooden box ? this is a solid choice. And, if drumming doesn't work out for you, it makes a good-looking end table. The snare sounds are crisp and the bass tones distinct and clear. It is well-constructed, lightweight and the large rubber feet are a plus. This model ended a year-long quest to find the cajon that was just right.
While I still love my hand drums, this instrument adds a great deal of versatility to my percussion repertoire, blending well with a wide variety of music styles. I won't be getting the ?natives are restless? comments that I get when I play my doumbeks. The cajon is a wonderful ?poor man's? drum kit.
Though I was tempted to buy online to save the sales tax, it seemed a bit too weaselly after taking advantage of the establishment's (Guitar Center) accessibility. It's good to support your local music store. An important bonus of buying on site is the ability to inspect your instrument. I've read a fair number of reviews that listed construction problems with the various types of cajons that were received.
I highly recommend the LP Aspire Accents Cajon.
