Nice fretboard conditioner

By ginthe404

from Undisclosed

Comments about Kyser Dr. Stringfellow Lem-Oil:

Kyser lem oil effectively cleans and polishes the fretboard. I have found that I need to do 1 or 2 additional polishings with a soft cloth before I put the strings back on after a polish to remove excess oil. A little bit goes a long way. I use the Kyser lem oil along with Gibson pump polish to make my acoustic look and feel new again.

Cleans, beautifies, and improves!

By Beatnik57

from Austin, TX USA

Comments about Kyser Dr. Stringfellow Lem-Oil:

When I bought my Gibson SG Standard six months ago, the guys at the shop threw in a bottle of this stuff and recommended using it about twice a year. I just used it for the first time prior to a string change and am very impressed. Not only does it clean the fretboard (it pulled up a fair amount of black grime) and give it a darker, richer, more even look, it makes the board smoother and faster without feeling oily. You'll really notice the differences doing slides.

Good Stuff

By Matt Horter

from Denver, CO

Comments about Kyser Dr. Stringfellow Lem-Oil:

This is a petroleum based product. That means it's mineral oil with fragrance added. It works great if there's a bunch of gunk built up from constantly playing. It cleaned up the rosewood fretboard on my Strat and the ebony fretboard on my Les Paul just fine and it smells pretty good too. You only need to use it once or twice a year with only one or two coats to freshen up your fretboard, I still have the same bottle I bought 2 years ago. First coat to clean off the gunk, second coat to replace any oils that have dried out of the wood (you can leave the second coat on for up to 20 minutes before you polish with a soft cloth) DO NOT USE THIS ON MAPLE FRETBOARDS OR THE BODY OF YOUR GUITAR IT WILL MAKE IT OILY, NOT POLISHED! DO NOT USE FURNITURE POLISHES THAT CONTAIN WAX ON YOUR FRETBOARD YOU'RE JUST ADDING MORE GUNK!

Dont listen to these 1 star folk

By Jeff

from Boise, Idaho

Comments about Kyser Dr. Stringfellow Lem-Oil:

Lem-oil has certain uses, as do other oils. You would never clean your fret board with crude oil, would you? so for starters, Furniture lemon oils contain waxes and tons of other junk, WHICH WILL RUIN YOUR FRETBOARD. If you were smart, you would know more about woods, especially if it is on your guitar. Dr stringfellow's will work, however, just keep in mind that a little goes a very very long way and never ever use it on ebony or in excess on rosewood, as itll soak it up.

Great If You Follow Directions

By Walter Casagrande

from NYC

Comments about Kyser Dr. Stringfellow Lem-Oil:

Kyser makes a great line of products and this is no exception. Follow the instructions and you end up with a nice conditioned fretboard that feels great. Sometimes a second application is needed but the stuff lasts forever.
