A mighty half-stack amplifier for heavy, modern rock tones.

The Kustom QUAD JR. Half Stack features lead and rhythm channels (footswitchable with optional footswitch) with 2 high-gain preamp choices in the lead channel and 2 clean preamp selections in the rhythm channel. The 100W amp pumps your sound through 4 - 12" Celestions and is fully tweakable with dual 3-band EQ and a complement of 8 - 24-bit digital effects. The lead channel offers a boost switch. Tonally, its circuit has been modified to provide increased gain and tight low-end response. The result is a half-stack that excels at heavy music but still has the versatility to deliver warm clean sounds and crunchy, medium-gain tones.

good enough for most

I have had mine for about 6 months. I have been amazed at how loud it is for not being a big name tube amp. I don't run anything thru the effects loop, it's all inline. Something about the effects loop changes the sound for the worse. Don't use the amp for distortion, stick with a clean channel and stomp boxes. The built in effects aren't much concern, maybe the chorus to thicken things up. All in all, it's a good amp. You can get a "name brand" amp and not get heckeled, but why follow the sheep. You might just get suprised.

not bad

It's a great amp for around the house. But, there isn't an effects loop, there isn't a line out control, the clean channel gets "dirty" past about 5 on the volume. there isn't a straight cab to upgrade to a full stack either. the built in effects sound great and the amp distortion sounds amazing. for the price it's great for around the house. and it does have a warm "tube type" sound. I'd by it agian, but not for playing out or recording.
