Overview

The PA50 PA System from Kustom combines quality performance and convenient features, all in a highly portable package. You'll find that the PA50 works well in a variety of environments, amplifying vocals, instruments, keyboards, drum machines, audio devices, and more.

The two 4.5" speakers and high-frequency driver provide just the right combination of high and midrange sounds. This balance ensures your vocals cut through the mix while minimizing harsh and unwanted frequencies. The PA50 Construction is based on the same tried-and-true techniques as the rest of our speaker line. This includes a heavy-duty steel grill and rigid corners. This model also utilizes a high-frequency driver for crisp, accurate reproduction of treble frequency and articulate speech.

For the soloist or acoustic duo, the PA50 works well when positioned on a standard speaker stand. As your following grows, so does your sound system; multiple units can be connected to increase the sound coverage in your venue of choice.

I purchased two of the PA50s to use at gigs, where the stage does not allow space for floor monitors. I then bought speaker wall brackets that I attached to my existing large 18" 3-way JBLs. (Using lag bolts)Then, I suspend the PA50s on each JBL, (The PA50's have speaker top hats on the bottom for stand mounting. The brackets have the pole mount built in), pointing inward, as side fill. At chest level, it's perfect for monitors. It leaves open space on the small stages, and does a great job of being a fold-back system. On Large gigs, I point them outward, towards the audience, standing at extreme right and left. Or adjust them to be sidefill for very large stages. They work extremely well as monitor speakers. Going to buy another pair of PA50s and brackets, and mount the brackets on speaker stands, using muffler 'u' bolts / clamps, to hang them under the main speakers, on the tripod stand tube. Should work great for that set-up, as well.

Comments about Kustom PA PA50 Personal PA System:

I'm an old...er rock cover band bass player, who ran the sound for the band, doing an acoustic guitar single (or one guest) gig. Singing Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Lucky Tubb, Justin Beiber etc...using shure 58, into yamaha MG10 (for a touch of reverb..you could just plug a mic directly in if you want to call bingo or just be the loudest person at family functions) original plan was using an Alto powered 15 with this as a monitor, the Kustom was loud enough that I got another (they "sync" together, but have to be at the end of the powered speaker daisy chain) and left the Alto at home for smaller places. a year and 30-40 gigs later they are still in fine shape. the sound works for what I'm doing. They are pleasantly able to reproduce bassier sounds and harmonica highs (also fine for the ipod stuff during breaks), and I'm pretty picky about sound (we're talking corner of the room saturday afternoon type small brew pub gigs, not center of attention, hear me in the parking lot, just to be clear).
Easy to carry (I'm old...er and that's important)...easy to set up...sound is good...have lasted a year of reasonable work load...you can pole mount or just sit them on a table...if they only had a wedge angle...

Comments about Kustom PA PA50 Personal PA System:

I needed a cleaner sounding, more compact PA for when I play for small audiences like coffee houses and senior facilities. I enjoy singing and playing in these often volunteer types of intimate settings, but it requires clear tight sound. I was surprised to discover that even without the sub, the personal PA system packs a solid, clean, amplified replica of my voice. The clarity is refreshing. In some ways I like this little PA better than when I am playing concerts with my blues band and large sound systems. If you can sing and feel that effects and excessive EQ muddies the sound of your voice, you will love the clarity and tonal representation.

Comments about Kustom PA PA50 Personal PA System:

I use two of these speakers to provide sound reinforcement in small venues. They work better when handling vocals only. When I run acoustic guitars through them along with vocals, the performance for both degrades noticeably. One of my speakers' XLR input on channel 1 doesn't work, a minor pain in the neck. It would be nice to have reverb, but these don't. 2-band eq is fine for my purposes. The speakers allow daisy-chaining via XLR cables. They're worthy and convenient if a little limited in features.

Comments about Kustom PA PA50 Personal PA System:

This was my first PA System and I find it as a better amplifier than my actual guitar amp! And it costs half the price of an amp. I plug in my guitar, bass, and mic all into this amp and preform with my band. The clean tones are nicer than a clean amp, and handles pedals like a dream. Use a fullbore metal pedal and you will love your tones forever. With a PA stand it gets even clearer!

Comments about Kustom PA PA50 Personal PA System:

I read all of the reviews on this system before making the purchase. I am far from professional, but I do love to play my guitar and sing, I also do like to run a karaoke show at home now and then ... although I have done the karaoke in numerous Pubs and Tavern also ... but for that I use a complete system with very large speakers and amps. This little PA system is way better than I expected and can put out as almost as much as my 100 watt Fender amp. I use it for my vocals and it is the perfect small venue system. I would give it a very high rating for such an impressive, inexpensive unit. I am VERY pleased with this purchase.

Comments about Kustom PA PA50 Personal PA System:

Very clean and clear. The days of old non powered back breaking speakers are gone for us! About a year ago I bought these for our band after reading the reviews on multiple sites and the price. We play 60's rock and surf rock and they work great in a small to medium club. We run vocals, guitar and keyboards through them. Very clean, clear and crisp defined sound to the audience without blowing them away. We mount them high on speaker stands to get the sound over the audience. Since they are so small, that takes little effort.
You will not get deep lush bass out of them which is the tradeoff on a package this small so I purchased the Kustom subwoofer for a $199, that designed to work with them, and WOW! I would match this system up against anything double this price range to keep up with sound quality. The sound is crisp with a even tone with the woofer added. I don't use a guitar amp, I use Bias FX app through an IPad , Alesis IO Dock II audio interface to the mixer and out to this setup with a small monitor to hear myself on stage. It sounds very good! We run the volume at 2/3 up and adjust everything from the mixer. I have much more room in my SUV to haul other stuff around now. I am so glad we went in this direction for our sound.

Sometimes I play solo, it is nice to take the two speakers and my guitar and play. You don't need a mixer, they have a three channel built into each speaker on the back. The subwoofer will not give you a thumping bass but a full sound. When used with these speakers it is designed to drop anything 150hz or below to the subwoofer giving these speakers more room to process the higher frequencies. If you need more sound add another pair and daisy chain them together. Being self powered, you can grow your system as you play larger venues.

Wonderful, small amp with plenty of power.Mostly we plug an Iphone in for itunes. Handy jack lets you hook it up to another amp. In my case, I run a cord to a bass guitar amp and nothing sounds better with mucho power you can hear over drum set. One of my favorite purchases.

On the down side, my son takes it to the bathroom when he showers and plays his itunes on it!
