Great sound, easy installation

Comments about Kremona VV-2 Detachable Passive Piezo Pickup with Volume Control for Violin and Viola:

I have yet to try this at a gig but I attached this pickup to an inexpensive student violin and played it through my Fender acoustic amp and I am very happy with how it sounds. The one thing I would say is that the direction of the cable coming from the instrument is a little awkward and a design which causes the cable to point downward might be better. It looks good with the wood finish appearance and being able to adjust volume is a plus.

Comments about Kremona VV-2 Detachable Passive Piezo Pickup with Volume Control for Violin and Viola:

Bought this to replace my Fishman which had no volume controll. The pickup fit the bridge with no additional cutting. If your bridge is not already modified, you have to open up the slot above the foot on treble side, enough to slide the pickup in. Works good, sounds good.

Comments about Kremona VV-2 Detachable Passive Piezo Pickup with Volume Control for Violin and Viola:

This pickup was a good alternative to the ones where the bridge has to be changed out. My violin is a true acoustic unless I don't want it to be. The problem I ran into is the sensor on the end of the wire is a bit too thick to easily slide into the violin bridge as it's supposed to, or as the instructions states.
I cracked the wooden sensor disc trying to get it into the bridge slot. Even cracked it did work for a little while. The sound was good, I liked the device, but the disc is a problem. If they'd thin that component out just a little so it would fit without having to be forced into place, it would be a great pickup.
I had mine insured with Pro Coverage, and since this pickup manufacturer is the only one to choose from for detachable pickups (that GC sells), I'm going to give it another shot. Only this time I'll know to be aware of the transducer (wooden disc at the end of the wire) being a little fragile.
If you buy this, pay the money for the pro coverage. I'm not a pusher of pro coverage for everything I buy. I've been critical of Pro Coverage because of some limits and issues it has, and have written the 'your voice' people at Guitar Center who want to know what their customers think and told them about it more than once. But since this is electronic, and has proven to be iffy during my first purchase, it's worth the money to insure it for two years.
Bottom line, I would recommend it, but treat that sensor disc very gently!!!!
