Comments about Kremona S51C 1/2 Scale Classical Guitar:
I bought this guitar for my 9 year old daughter to replace a 1/4 Ashton shed had since she was very small. I chose it primarily because of the narrow nut for her smallish fingers and because of positive reviews of its build quality. Overall, I'm pleased, but there are a couple of things to know. First, there is no truss rod, so neck adjustments are limited. This wasn't clear from any of the descriptions I found. Secondly, the Royal Classic Kindersaiten, with which it is delivered have ridiculously low tension, resulting in poor tone, awkward fretting, difficulty keeping the strings in tune, and poor intonation above the 12th fret. I can't find documentation of the string gauge, but believe these are KC460). We'll be swapping them out for D'Addario EXP high or extra high tension strings. The action at the nut seems about right, but it's far too high at the top of the neck, so some adjustment of the saddle seems necessary. I'm hopeful that these faults can all be overcome with better string choice and a good setup. The guitar seems like it has the potentional to sound great and fit well, so at this point I would recommend it with these caveats. I'll update this review after we've made these changes.
