Astounding guitar

By Dana Clickenger

from Buhl, Idaho

Comments about Kremona Romida Classical Guitar:

I received my Romida yesterday and was blown away by the beauty of the instrument and the very obvious quality of the build. Even thought I am a beginner so speak, IMHO the sound was incredible. It is bright when needed and more round when called upon. The set up was perfect and while I struggled with a Yamaha CG192C, the Romida is a perfect fit. Just doing warm ups and exercises was a joy and 100% easier to execute. This guitar sounds as good or better than a few luthier guitars that are double the dollars. In short, I couldn't be happier.

Romida Guitar

By Tom Brown

from Evansville, Indiana

Comments about Kremona Romida Classical Guitar:

Hi! Started off re-searching the internet for a spruce top classical guitar, when I came across the Kremona guitar company from Bulgaria. After three weeks of reading reviews and comparing different guitars I decided to go with the Romida by Kremona. First reason, the company and its customer service is by far the best, they will call and write you back promptly. They have been so nice to work with and answer all of my questions so far. Second reason, the guitar is awesome! It looks amazing and arrived in perfect shape, the finish and craftsman ship is world class. It has a large volume and great sustain, the notes ring for a long time and bass are very punchy sounding. Just has a nice feel to it and the neck is just feels nice for me. Overall the guitar has great balance throughout.Bonus: Also ships out with a very nice custom case and comes with a nice factory warranty as well. The third and final reason, the price. You will not find a nicer guitar in this price range. I also own and play a Ramirez (which is a cedar top, solid wood and a very nice instrument which cost over twice the cost than my Romida) I would say the Romida is of equal or greater sound and quality as the Ramirez in my opinion. The Guitar Center also did a great job working with me on buying this instrument and they stand behind their price matching and had prompt shipping and sales reps. Thanks, Tom

Comments about Kremona Romida Classical Guitar:

I play classical music on this guitar, ranging from Bach to Villa-Lobos, Albeniz, De Visee, Tarrega, and more. I came across this guitar during my extensive research online and trying out guitars in store. I was seeking a solid spruce top guitar with rosewood back and sides, no cutaway, and no electronics built in for around $1000-$1500. I've played a Raimundo model 140 cedar top for over a decade, and I decided I wanted a spruce top for certain kinds of repertoire. This guitar satisfies everything I was looking for in this price range. The rosewood adds the depth and round quality to the tone of the guitar, while the spruce cleans and brightens the tone across all notes played on all frets of the guitar. The structure is sound, and fan-like on top for maximum projection as well. Playing close to the neck provides a very sweet, clear, rounded, and warm tone. Closer to the saddle, it becomes crystal-clear, bright, and striking, yet deep. Playing very close to the saddle provides the brassy tone that some pieces really call for at times. The tone is everything you would want and expect form a spruce top guitar with rosewood back and sides. My Raimundo cedar top (rosewood back/sides as well) by contrast produces a more colorful, dark, and muddied sound. Not better or worse but different. Visually, this guitar is gorgeous. It has been seamlessly constructed across all the sides, back, top, bridge, saddle, neck, frets, fretboard, and headstock. The PE finish is smooth and the reflection is mirror-like under the light. What especially caught my attention was the headstock. It has a striking dual ebony overlay and precision tuning pegs with a golden decorative overlay. The headstock is simply stunning! The nut and saddle are solid and secure, and both are made of bone. The spruce top shines in the light, and the rich rosewood back and sides seem to flow around the guitar. The guitar becomes more beautiful in the eyes of the beholder as he or she gazes at it more.
