When this amp arrived to my house i knew straight from taking it out of the box that it could kick some ass. Its very loud, versatile, and distinctively clear. Its great for gigging and is as loud as the drums!
For the price, you can't beat the Krank SST. And when they say loud they mean LOUD!!!! When the guitarist in my band plays this on 6 (volume) it blows all the B-52 and Peavey (less the 6505+) out of the water. don't dare turn it past 8 or you will be sorry.
I used this amp before and I will say for a heavy metal sound it's great, but in my opinion that's all it does. I like the fact it does not have all that extra stuff you don't need, but for the price you pay it should at least have reverb. After buying this head and one their matching 4/12 cabs it's a rip off. I know some people are die hard Dime fans, but if you're not then stay away from this amp. I could pay less money for an amp that gives me more power, reverb and a much better clean channel and with the money I'd save I could buy effects that would make that amp sound more metal than this one does. Pay for quality, not a name.
