MIDI controllers are a vital component for any computer-based studio or performance. With so many options, choosing the right one can at times seem a bit overwhelming. Thankfully the Korg TAKTILE 25 USB/MIDI controller makes the decision a little easier. The TAKTILE 25 is equipped with the same great-feeling, semi-weighted keyboard that's used on the widely popular Korg KROME and KingKORG synthesizers. In addition to its 25-note keyboard, the TAKTILE 25 offers a host of other features, some of which have not been seen on other previous models.
Korg added an intuitive Kaossilator X-Y touchpad that lets you play melodies using just a single finger, and there's also a bank of 8 trigger pads that let you generate chords in the key and scale of your choice for instant musical inspiration and songwriting concepts. The TAKTILE 25 also features an arpeggiator with built-in rhythm patterns and various assignable controls including 8 sliders, 8 knobs, and 8 switches as well as a dedicated DAW transport controls to keep your session flowing. Of course, the TAKTILE 25 also delivers the functionality expected from a MIDI controller. It provides all of the basic controllers such as sliders and switches, and makes setup easy.

Comments about Korg TAKTILE 25 USB MIDI Controller:
pros: ? looks amazing, the cleanest controller on the market ? extremely easy to use with ableton, logic, etc. ? full size keys, nice action on mod & pitch wheel ? x/y touchpad assignable, very easy to use too. ? drum pads double as chord macros w/tons of scales ? arpeggiator is easy and has lots of patterns ? can toggle between DAW control and assignable controllers easily ? very stable, feels locked to my desk ? auto-off mode doesn't waste OLED life and allows you to keep it plugged in cons: ? no aftertouch for $250 is unusual ? LEDs do not diffuse well in button material, they just are centered and bright ? drum pads are kind of cheap and have an audible tap when contact is made ? side-mounted i/o port is annoying, should be in back ? keys feel kind of bendy, could have a bit more weight to them ? just feels a bit plasticky and cheap (more like m-audio than like novation or akai) summary: Extremely clean, multifunctional controller with only the necessary buttons ? no frills, easy to use, nice to look at, but Korg should have spent a bit more on the fine touches and details for this price.
