Providing the high precision and sensitivity that you expect from Korg, the Pitchhawk-U Ukeulele Clip-On Tuner features a new type of clip that offers a firmer grip and greater durability. It also has an adjustable arm and ball joint that provides flexibility and compact storage, plus a new type of display that's designed for high visibility and operability, a function that warns against over-winding the first string, and a selection of versatile tuning modes.
During the 38 years since developing the world's first needle-type meter tuner, Korg continues to pioneer tuner technology, applying their expertise in new ways to deliver value to the player. This spirit continued on with the first clip-type tuner, the AW-1 (2004), followed by its successor the AW-2 (2009), and now the AW-3G "PitchHawk".

Comments about Korg Pitchhawk Clip-On Tuner:
I have been using this clip on guitar tuner for over a year now. I primarily use it on acoustic guitars for recreational home use, but occasionally use it on electric guitars. Although I find the tuner to be accurate, it is way too finicky, slow to tune and occasionally inconsistent. It seems to have trouble getting vibrations from low strings and high frets. After tuning strings E, B, G and D, I sometimes need to change the position of the clip on the headstock for it to tune the A and E strings. The tuner seems to be affected by noise from a loud television set or when the air conditioner is blowing. Some days the tuner works great. Go figure. My son's Snark clip on tuner cost less than half the price of this Korg, but is much less finicky and quicker to tune. I would have given the Korg three stars, but I don't see the value at this price when compared to the Snark.
