Product Information

Serious music production in a seriously small space—now in a cool black design.

The nanoKEY MIDI controller is part of Korg's nanoSERIES USB-powered slimline controllers that are so small you can put them on your workstation, in front of your laptop, on a recording console, or anywhere else you need versatile control over your DAW, virtual instrument, effect, or DJ software.

Despite it's small size, the nanoKEY MIDI controller goes big when it comes to functionality. Its intuitive layout provides extremely easy operation for any user. The nanoKEY features a great-feeling, 25-key velocity-sensitive keyboard that's ideal for song production. The keys can also be set to send MIDI control data, further expanding its power.

A flexible MIDI keyboard controller that's smaller than a laptop keyboard
When Korg set out to build a slim-line MIDI controller keyboard, they used their years of experience in manufacturing innovative MIDI keyboards to create a comfortable-feeling, velocity-sensitive keyboard based off a laptop keyboard. The resulting 25-note keyboard on the Korg nanoKEY will transmit your playing dynamics to your software accurately and expressively. In CC (Control Change) MODE, the keys become MIDI controllers, allowing you to control any MIDI-assignable parameters within your software.

The Octave Shift function offers immediate access to the entire MIDI note range. Pitch and modulation buttons are also provided, giving your performances the kind of expression that you would expect from any controller regardless of its size.

With the "KORG KONTROL Editor" (downloadable free of charge from korg.com), you can customize the nanoKEY to match your control needs. It lets you select between three velocity curves or fixed velocity, and set MIDI CC values. It even allows you to edit the assignments for the minimum and maximum values of the control change messages transmitted by the modulation buttons or in CC MODE.

Even if the Korg nanoKEY controller is your first foray into MIDI control, be assured that you'll be able to get connected to software quickly. As an added value, the nanoKEY includes a download code for the full version of Korg's M1 LE which faithfully recreates the legendary Korg M1 workstation. Plus, an upgrade path will let you graduate to the Legacy DIGITAL EDITION software suite, which has an even more expansive version of the M1, the renowned WaveStation, and 19 great MDEX effects. You also get a free downloadable Editor/Librarian to help you create setups to suit your specific control needs.

With our Guaranteed Lowest Price, you can be assured of complete satisfaction and the lowest available price, or your money back!

NEW REVIEW - yuh

this is a great deal for thee price. it's got a whole bunch of different sounds. my only complaint would be that the keys are too much like lap top keys, which i think is what they were initially going for? but i think it's a great buy.

NEW REVIEW - Cheap and easy, just like---

Budget-oriented miniature keyboard that offers plug-and-play functionality to computers already configured to operate USB-MIDI systems, sharp looks, and it does exactly what it says on the box. Not a lot of frills, but for this price, who's complaining? USB offers slightly higher latency than a suitable MIDI input, but with a properly configured ASIO audio driver and a decent DAW suite, it's enough.

Very good!

This is a great buy for someone you wants an easy to use keyboard for recording. It's portable and very easy to set up on a PC. It works well with most software but my only complaint is that the keys take some time getting used to but once you get comfortable using it this keyboard will be a great addition to your setup.

user-unfriendly

I bought this for a simple recording gig.So, I wouldn't have to haul my keyboard rig. The size, look and even the key's themselves,I liked. It says plug and play, but its far from it. It showed up on the computer connected hardware list. But,it requires a lot of adjusting to get any of the midi interfaces to work. So, I tried to download the free M1-LE software, for computer generated sounds. It wouldn't download from Korg's web site. I couldn't even register the product because my phone number required field wasn't in the proper form, no matter how I entered it.After 4 hours of messing with it, I went back to my keyboard rig.It may be fine if you have a lot of time to fool with it.
