The Korg CM-100L Contact Microphone is a perfect complement to any tuner that offers an audio input jack. The mic can be positioned to get a more sensitive reading, while allowing the tuner to be positioned for easier reading.The jack is a 1/4" male phone connector.

All Korg products purchased from a Korg USA authorized dealer are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship to the original consumer purchaser as listed below:

Parts: 1 Year
Exceptions: Tubes, AC Adapters, Foot Switches: 90 days
Warranty Requirements and Limitations:
-Proof of Warranty - The customer must provide proof of purchase in order to obtain warranty service. The dated sales slip or copy thereof is the only acceptable proof of purchase.
-The product must be purchased from a Korg USA authorized dealer and have a valid serial number.
Damage resulting from the following causes are excluded from the warranty set forth above:
-Misuse, including damage occurring during shipment, damage caused by battery leakage, accident, fire, unauthorized repairs, tampering, cosmetic damage or other types of damage which are the result of improper handling or abuse.
-The cleaning of controls or contacts due to exposure to dirty, dusty, or otherwise contaminated environment.
-Damage resulting from modification.
-Damage to units used for loan or rental.

I use the mic for tunning acoustic guitars and a ukulele with the KORG CA-40. The mic is not a must have for acoustic tunning, except under noisy conditions, makes it a little easier. However, placing the tuner (if there is room on the instrument) on the top where the sound resinates works well too. Using the mic does seem to make tunning just a little faster, I didn?t break out a stop watch, just feels a little quicker. I would say it?s a good thing to have in your case.
Works well for precise tuning, doesn't pick up background sounds or noise. Clip is a good size, I would say, for just about all instruments. I place it on the rim of my, Congas, Djembes and Bongos and it works well. Good investment for rapid and precise tuning in any ambiance.
I have used other contact microphones but have never found one that picked up the sound of the instrumbent as clearly as the Korg model. The clip is large enough to grip the instrument without poping off. I highly recomend the Korg Microphone.
