Overview

What could be more fun than a Tiki Ukulele? Kolohe (the mischievous rascal) has turned the world upside down with these ukuleles. The completely amazing Tiki bridge is just the start. The Kohala Tiki Concert Ukulele with Tuner is made with all Linden wood and comes in a variety of colors with a durable satin finish. It features postion markers on both sides of the fretboard, making it perfect for both righties and lefties. Just switch the strings around and go.

The concert size is currently the most poplular size for adults. The dimensions of the concert make this size easy to play and hold. Players gain more volume from the larger body, but still retain the same lilting, happy tone as the soprano.

Case sold separately.

Comments about Kohala Tiki Concert Ukulele with Tuner:

I am a an intermediate range novice. I do know that it takes a while for the strings on a new ukulele to settle in, but this is ridiculous. The strings are so very loose and no matter how many hours I've put into tuning it during the past week since arrival, the C and E strings will not hold a tune at all, barely even register on the tuner. My daughter has a nice Kala soprano uke and her clip on tuner does not even register these two strings on the Kohala. Hers is a year old, not played very often, and it holds its tune beautifully and has an incredible tone. It's strings are nice and taut, too, can hardly be lifted up off the neck, whereas the strings on the Kohala tiki can be raised nearly an inch with little resistance. The strings are Aquila, too. I don't know if it was poorly strung, maybe. I'm going to visit a friend today who is an experienced uke player and owns 4 very nice ukuleles, going to ask her if I should just send it back. Next time, I would go for the Kala ks 15 at only $10 more.
