These Kluson tuning machines were used on vintage Gibson guitars such as the Les Paul, SG, ES-335 and others. They're also used on the Epiphone Casino and current Epiphone production of Les Paul and G-400 (SG) models. This model of Kluson tuning machines is also a direct replacement for all current reissue 50's and 60's Gibson production and other series that use a vintage style individual tuning machine. This kit comes with six individual tuners, 3 per side (that are not on a plate). All hardware including bushings and mounting screws are included in the set.
Please note: If you are retro-fitting a vintage instrument that has been modified or putting this vintage-style Kluson tuner on a modern instrument you may also need to purchase "adapter bushings" (sold separately) to convert a larger size peg hole to vintage size to allow for proper fit and function.
These guitar tuners were historically used on the following guitars:
1958 - 1959 Gibson Flying V
1958 - 1959 Gibson ES-345
1956 - 1959 Gibson ES-295
1956 - 1959 Gibson J-200
1956 - 1959 Gibson ES-350
1956 - 1959 ES-5
1957 Gibson Explorer Prototype Futura
1959 Epiphone Crestwood Deluxe

I live in the boonies and have tried for two years to get tuning keys for my good ole martin 00-17.Ordered some didn't fit took them back etc.. Was searching the web and found guitar store and the keys. Hoping they would fit. When they came I was so happy the screws, keys everything just fit.
I ordered these tuners cause they were cheat but come to find out that these just being cheap was not just the best thing about them. They have that nice classic look i was looking for that goes along with the old fender acoustic i put them on and also they keep in tune pretty well. The only thing is that i had to drill the hole bigger for it. But besides that, i would recommend buying these. I plan on buying another set for my epiphone sg.
It is hard to find any user reviews for these tuners. I put them on my old Gibson, because it is a family guitar that I will never sell. I had to boar the peg holes out a little to get the bushings to fit. This pained me a little, but it went smooth. I had to drill new screw holes on the back of the head stock, but if I ever go back to the original, all of the screw holes will be covered up. I had to replace the original tuners as they were getting too stiff, and I use this guitar as my backup for leading worship, so I needed it to be reliable. The tuners are very nice looking and smooth. They hold tune well. However, if I were doing this over again, and knew I had to boar the holes out, I would have went with a nicer tuner set with screw in bushings.
