The Jimbo Wallace Tiger King is an acoustic-electric bass with enough get-up-and-go to leave other stand-up basses in its dust. The flame paint job on this King Doublebass is subtle enough not to detract from the natural flame of the wood, but a nice touch for a bass that can really bring the heat.
The Reverend Horton Heat have been playing sold out shows nationwide for years. A "Rev" show is like a musical baptism of fire, with psycho/rockabilly, punk, country, and everything in between thrown at you with moxie like no other. It's no coincidence that the good Rev's right hand man since 1989, Jimbo Wallace, has a Signature Tiger King Doublebass painted with transparent flames creeping up along its luxurious blonde maple body like a classic muscle car.
Jimbo's bass is set up with gut strings, a King Deluxe chrome tailpiece, and the King Doll Head Piezo pickup system. The model is 3/4 size hand-built with 5-ply, top-grade maple and spruce plywood. It also features a highly figured AAA flamed maple top, back and sides; hand-carved steel reinforced maple neck; a top quality ebony fingerboard; precision, German-made Rubner tuning machines; and a King designed adjustable endpin. Each bass is hand painted and custom pinstriped in the USA, and comes professionally set up and ready to play with Jagar Dolce strings. Top quality maple bridges with adjusters are available upon request.
If you like that souped-up, rebel-rousing nostalgic sound, then "You've Got a Friend in Jimbo". The Jimbo Wallace Signature Tiger King will help you "Rock the Joint" with pizzazz like he's been doing since 89.
