Falling apart

By Lorena Sikorski

from Cypress, Ca

Comments about Kaces Boutique Polyfoam Bass Case:

I purchased this case 7 months ago. The plastic feet on the side of the case that you set the case down on, have come off several times and finally had to be super glued on. The back pack straps aren't long enough to put on your back. They barely fit on the clips when they're fully extended! However one end of the strap is sewn in so you can't replace the strap and get a longer one! I am disappointed in how the case is wearing. The inside is good. However the outside looks like it's a lot older than 7 months.

Didn't fit my Fender Jazz bass... are you kidding?

By Brian Harris

from Burlington, VT

Comments about Kaces Boutique Polyfoam Bass Case:

I was really excited when I purchased this because I wanted a case that I could use backpack style with my bass to free up one hand for carrying more gear. Well, guess what, my Fender MIA Std Jazz bass didn't fit! I replaced the original strap-holders with Dunlop strap-locks and apparently that made just enough of a difference where the bass didn't fit. I was pretty disappointed.

Great case

By Lorena Sikorski

from Cypress, Ca

Comments about Kaces Boutique Polyfoam Bass Case:

This is a nice looking case with two tone black/grey accents. It is also very sturdy and a great answer to the protection vs. weight question. It is light weight and easy to carry. It also is very sturdy foam and has a lot of great padding, so the instrument is protected. If one doesn't have a "road-y" crew to carry the equipment, this is a great buy. The zippers are sturdy and the 3 accessory pockets are great. One is deep enough for music the other 2 are shorter but still deep enough for smaller items like tuners, glasses and rolled straps. This case is made better than either the SKB or Gator poly foam cases - both of which I owned for other instruments. It has more protection then a gig bag and is less weight to carry then the hard cases. It's a great compromise.

Perfect Case for Gigs

By DERRY ORR

from Phoenix, AZ

Comments about Kaces Boutique Polyfoam Bass Case:

Great case for the student or professional playing local gigs. Plenty of space for your extra gear, such as strings, batteries, straps, tuners, you get the idea. Also has a front pocket large enough for several 8.5" x 11" pages of sheet music, maps, or what have you.Very well organized case with its selections of internal and external pockets and storage spots. It seems be of sturdy construction, with good quality hardware. I bought the case as replacement for a gig bag for local shows. It fits my Schecter Stiletto-Extreme IV beautifully. I wouldn't try to go cross country with the case or heavens forbid give the TSA access to it, but for around town and general use, it is a handy and well made case.

Great case for Lakland 55-01's & 55-02's - FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE

By David Graham

from South Carolina

Comments about Kaces Boutique Polyfoam Bass Case:

This case is a must for Lakland 55-01 & 55-02 owners. I can't understand why the 55-02 with a retail price of $1499 comes with a gig bag instead of a hard shell case. When I purchased my 55-02 my first concern was to find a case for it. I looked at a number of different case options. Having owned a polyfoam case previously, I really liked the lighter weight and better storage options over a hard shell case. I ran across this case online and it caught my attention. I called the Kaces company to find out the actual dimensions. The person I spoke to was very friendly and gave me the information I needed. Sounded like a perfect fit. When I received the case I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of construction including a nice heavy duty zipper, a very comfortable handle, plenty of storage both inside and out utilizing the three zippered compartments. The best part was that my 55-02 fit perfectly. Nice and tight no moving around. The particular case that I received had a slight defect not uncommon for any product that is mass produced. I called the company and they replaced it with a new one no questions asked. Now that's customer service! In my opinion for the price this case cannot be beat especially if you want to move up from a gig bag.

Great Storage!

By Anthony Hobor

from North Brunswick, NJ

Comments about Kaces Boutique Polyfoam Bass Case:

I ordered this bass case because it was one of the few that had any storage larger than a compartment for a deck of cards. It works great! I have all my cables, my pedal, spare batteries extra picks, etc. all at hand wherever I bring my bass. I completely recommend it!

Very well built

By Eric Devlin

from Pittsburgh, PA

Comments about Kaces Boutique Polyfoam Bass Case:

This case is extremely well built and offers great protection, the back pack straps are an added bonus for carrying comfort from a standard hard case, and there is much better protection than with a gig bag. My only complaint is the length of the back pack straps, I can get it on but anyone over 180 would have serious trouble. It would be easy enough to extend these yourself but as they come this case was built for skinny people only.

just right

By egroove

from baltimore, md

Comments about Kaces Boutique Polyfoam Bass Case:

I got my bass case a couple of weeks ago and I'm very satisfied. I may never carry a gig bag again. My bass stays in tune and I don't loose my breath each time it bumps something. I only recently got concerned about transporting my bass after purchasing a ESP LTD B-5 and it seemed as if with a gig bag I was bumping into something every gig or rehearsal. Now, no worries and by the way for those of 6 foot or taller doorways are no longer an exercise in bending as the top of the kace is only a couple inches above my head and not a foot or so like my roadrunner bag was. So protect your favorite bass and get this case, plenty of storage and protection.

Light and handy for travel

By Tom Kennedy

from New York, NY

Comments about Kaces Boutique Polyfoam Bass Case:

I have used this case successfully for travel within the United States and internationally. It is very light with instrument inside, and I believe it to actually be more protective than a normal hard shell guitar case because of it's semi-flexible outer construction. I travel quite frequently, and usually get 12-18 months of faithful service from this case. 2 issues: The carry handle is only held in with a couple of wood screws, and should immediately be bolted. And, the interior consistently wears under the lower bout of the instrument (right lower bout of guitar) and should be reinforced with foam or rubber.
