The KRC-2 case from Kaces is loaded with professional features including a water and tear-resistant luggage-grade shell. Steel rack rails are accessible from front and back flaps that secure with hook and loop fabric closures. Padded grip straps provide comfortable and easy rack transport.
Bought this at a Guitar Center probably around a year ago. For a 4U portable rack space, it's a decent price. I've found the pouch on the front to be useful for holding XLR cables for remote recordings. Its holding up well so far (even after an accidental drop that made my heart skip a beat...) - definitely not as sturdy as an SKB, but I wouldn't expect it to be at such lower price. Another thought - I currently only use two of the four rack spaces - a Monster Power Pro 2500 power conditioner and a Saffire Pro 10, and even with just these it is already pretty heavy. I'll likely upgrade to a case with wheels at some point in the future, just because of the convenience of rolling all that gear instead of carrying it.
I have the 2 space Kace Rack, and I have Loved it! It holds my 8 space electric Power Strip and My Light DVX Controller with 8 Spaces +1 that is always on. It is GREAT! It has a storage compartment on the top, you fold the front flap under the case at gigs and it gives you a slight angle, and once you have everything plugged in you can velcro the back on again with the cords coming out nice and tidy! and down your "Table Cover" out of sight! It's wood box construction is VERY SOLID once you put a unit in it, and the outer case is well padded and protective! Nice Product, I just ordered the 4 space case for expansion!
I Love it, there is a Wooden Black Box inside the soft Vinyl outer cover with brackets on it. I ran a Chauvet SF 9005 Controller from it, and the 8 switch power strip on top of it. All of it packs nicely in the back, cords and everything! I can even fit a bit more in the back of it. It's sturdy once you screw in your equipment! It's solid too, once it's loaded! It's easy to move, mobile and easy to set up! Close the back flap to hide all the cords you may have coming out the back, and you are good to go! The one storage flap on the top is great too, and there is a carry strap also! It's great for my needs, and holds more than enough plugs for my lights when I set them all up! I have a lot of lights and effects!
