Rokit Powered 8 G2 Monitors
KRK's Rokit G2 (Generation 2) powered studio monitor is designed to give amazing performance and accuracy for the home or project studio. The G2 Rokit studio monitor has radically curved edges which virtually eliminates diffraction and provides a wider sweet spot. The Rokit G2 monitor also features a great looking cabinet with a front-firing bass port and KRK's trademark yellow glass-aramid composite woofer and soft-domed tweeters. Dual high-power amplifiers in each speaker and active crossovers provide smooth and accurate reproduction. The Rokit monitor has the most accurate response curve in its class ensuring that you hear all of the details in your mix.
The KRK Rokit G2 Series takes value-priced studio monitors to a new performance level. Why compromise gain structure to achieve a comfortable listening level? As musicians and recording people themselves, KRK asked that question too. So each Generation 2 Rokit monitor comes with an Input Volume Control that provides an adjustable gain range from +6dB to -30dB.
Catch A Wave, For A 3D Mix
Recessed tweeters may look the same, but they don't perform the same. KRK has designed a superior tweeter wave guide for the Rokit that provides optimal high-frequency pattern control and focuses the sound outward, away from the cabinet. More conventional designs direct sound along the plane of the cabinet where waveform interaction can cause phase problems and increased diffraction.

Take Control
While your Generation 2 Rokit leaves the factory voiced to demanding specs, KRK also knows that no 2 rooms sound the same. As such, each Rokit comes equipped with a High Frequency Level Control. This feature provides specific adjustment of high frequency output most commonly affected by room acoustics.
Don't Be Square, Curves Ahead
These Rockit Generation 2 monitors look different, so they can sound better, and have a wider "sweet spot". Traditional rectangular speakers suffer from diffraction as sounds leaving the edge of the cabinet are reflected back into the original sound field, and at different time intervals. This phase distortion creates a narrow or "boxy" sound. The Generation 2 Rokit monitor series eliminates this issue with radically engineered curved surfaces, so diffraction is virtually eliminated. Simply put, you'll get better sound in a wider area.
Let's Be Up Front
Take a look at competitive monitors and you'll find ports on the back of the cabinet. These rear-firing ports tend to create bass coupling with walls and corners amplifying low frequency information which will color your mix. The MXL MXL 990/MXL 991 Recording Mic Package is a kit with 2 microphones that incorporate the latest in MXL's range of studio condenser microphones. The 990 has silky, sweet high end and a tight solid bass, perfect for recording vocals. The 991 is a superior instrument microphone designed for recording acoustic guitar and drum overheads. Both have gold-sputtered diaphragms (20mm) creating a professional sound perfectly suited for digital and analog recording. The MXL 990/MXL 991 Recording Mic Package includes a high-impact carrying case and mic stand adapters.
Audio-Technica ATH-M20 Closed-Back Headphones
Audio-Technica ATH-M20 Closed-Back Headphones feature 40 mm drivers with neodymium magnets and copper-clad aluminum wire voice coils for exceptional clarity, rich bass, and extended high-frequency response. The circumaural, closed-back design ensures superior isolation. They are lightweight with an adjustable cushioned headband for maximum comfort, and come with a 1/8" (3.5mm) stereo connector and snap-on 1/4" (6.3mm) adapter. The 10' coiled cable has a left-side entry.
2 Musicians Gear MS-220 Tripod Mic Stand with Fixed Boom
These MS-220 Tripod Microphone Stands (2) have thread adapters and tubular legs. Adjustable height from floor to top thread is 35" to 61-7/8". The 30-1/4" boom is not adjustable.
