KRK's glass-aramid cone technology sets a new standard with even better performance and accuracy!

KRK's Rokit G2 (Generation 2) powered studio monitor delivers amazing performance and accuracy for the home or project studio at a very accessible price. The G2 Rokit has radically curved edges which virtually eliminate diffraction and provides a wider sweet spot. The Rokit G2 also features a great looking cabinet with a front-firing bass port and KRK's trademark yellow glass-aramid composite woofer and soft-domed tweeters. Dual high-power amplifiers in each speaker and active crossovers provide smooth and accurate reproduction. The Rokit monitor has the most accurate response curve in its class ensuring that you hear all of the details in your mix.

The KRK RokitG2 Series takes value-priced monitors to a different performance level. All of the great stuff that Rokit monitors have been known for (front-firing bass port, soft-domed tweeter, glass aramid composite yellow cone) are still there, but the G2 Rokit studio monitors feature refined voicing and a curved baffle that looks great, reduces diffraction, and provides even better monitoring accuracy.

No Pain With Gain
Why compromise gain structure to achieve a comfortable listening level? As musicians and recording people themselves, KRK asked that question too. So each Generation 2 Rokit monitor comes with an Input Volume Control that provides an adjustable gain range from +6dB to -30dB. Just another way the Rokit lets you focus on your mix, and not on compatibility concerns.

Catch A Wave, For A 3D Mix
Recessed tweeters may look the same, but they don't perform the same. KRK has designed a superior tweeter wave guide for the Rokit monitor that provides optimal high frequency pattern control and focuses the sound outward, away from the cabinet. More conventional designs direct sound along the plane of the cabinet where waveform interaction can cause phase problems and increased diffraction. KRK knows a properly engineered high frequency wave guide is a critical component to great sound, and one key to KRK's award winning performance.

You've Got Connections
At KRK, the focus is your mix. But it doesn't stop at creating accurate monitors. KRK appreciates the need for monitors that not only sound great but work easily into your particular set up. That's why you'll find plenty of input options with your Rokit monitor, sure to accommodate any studio environment. So if it's RCA, quarter-Inch (balanced/unbalanced) or XLR inputs you require, Rockit has got you covered.

Even More Accurate Than Before
KRK took a great monitor series and made it better. KRK's engineers and listening panel took the Generation 2Rokits' speaker voicing to even more accurate levels. What you hear is what you are intended to hear, coloration is not part of the spec. This performance is brought to you by drivers that are custom-designed by KRKs world-class studio monitor engineering team, for clear, low-distortion performance.

Take Control
While your Generation 2 Rokit leaves the factory voiced to demanding specs, KRK also knows that no two rooms "sound" the same. As such, each Rokit monitor comes equipped with a High Frequency Level Control. This feature provides specific adjustment of high frequency output most commonly affected by room acoustics. It's just one extra level of control that KRK gives you to ensure the most accurate mix for your particular room's acoustics.

Don't Be Square, Curves Ahead
The Gen 2 Rockit studio monitor looks different, so it can sound better, and in a wider "sweet spot". Traditional rectangular speakers suffer from diffraction as sounds leaving the edge of the cabinet are reflected back into the original sound field, and at different time intervals. This phase distortion creates a "narrow" or "boxy" sound. The Generation 2 Rokit series eliminates this issue with radically engineered curved surfaces, so diffraction is virtually eliminated. Simply put, you'll get better sound in a wider area.

Let's Be Up Front
Other monitors have ports on the back of the cabinet. These rear-firing ports tend to create bass coupling with walls and corners amplifying low frequency information which will color your mix. The KRK Generation 2 Rokit studio monitor's design includes front-firing ports, which are just the right shape and taper to reduce port turbulence. You'll appreciate the clean and accurate bass performance this approach delivers, even at high SPL's.

Power Up!
A great sounding monitor doesn't stop with a great cabinet and custom drivers. KRKs true bi-amplified amplifier system provides discrete low-distortion power for each driver. While the active crossover systems provide smooth and accurate frequency response, and again, accurate diffraction control.

NEW REVIEW - Outside the normal use

I purchased these speakers to provide audio for my backyard theatersystem. After comparing these with other products in my price range(M-Audio,etc.)the KRKs suited my ears the best. They are light years better than the 3" speakers I was using and they sound better than the Advent outdoor speakers I have hooked up to my stereo system. The controls on the rear make finding the right volume a breeze (I try not to disturb my neighbors with loud movie volume). I do voiceover work from home so I plan to use them for playback when the theater system is not in use.I know these were made for indoor use, but I wish I could mount them on a stand without attaching a bracket.

Flat and surprisingly powerful

These new 5" KRKs really shocked me--they're flat as a board and are plenty powerful for my small (14' by 12') mixing/mastering studio. Great value for the money.

Great

I really haven't had that much experience with monitors or any sizeable speaker for that matter. But being a first timer, I know these will last me along time. Having transitioned from a small set of Bose to these, I am literally blown away. Fantastic for someone not wanting to drop loads of money, and fantastic for anyone else.

Great Speakers

I just bought these speakers last week, and they're great! I'm just a hobbyist and I didn't want to spend a lot of money. For such an affordable price these speakers sound amazingly good. I know lack of bass is a general complaint on speakers this size, but they seem to put out enough for me. I was choosing between the M-Audio BX5A's and these. The BX5A's had a little two much high end for my taste, and the Rokit's just sounded more balanced. I also like the volume and high frequency knobs on the back of the speakers which allow you to tweak the sound for your recording environment.

Watch Out!

These monitors may be inexpensive but they pack a large punch. I would not recommend turning to volume up too loud for risk of going def. On another note the monitors are crystal clear and my mixers from these monitors translate well onto any commercial stero system. I will never own another brand of studio monitors again!

Small speakers...BIG SOUND!!!

Just what I needed as an addition to my studio. I bought two of these and it fit perfectly in my setup. Crystal clear sounds with ample bass too. And it can be LOUD if you need it to be without distortion. Love the hookup choices of different cables and the look is sexy! :)

FANTASTIC reference monitors

Where to start... first of all, the connectivity is fantastic. I chose the balanced XLRs and have no regrets. Sound quality and imaging are wonderful. I have heard concerns (mostly from my pretentious friend) about the warmth of the speakers, but I find the speakers have a most accurate palette. The portrait painted is spot-on. I use them for intense listening sessions (not recording) and they are perfect for this. I considered the M-Audio BX5a Deluxes, but after a few sessions at the Guitar Center store decided that front porting of the KRK's was a clear advantage and yielded clearer, more responsive and authentic bass response. I highly advise the purchase of these over others in the same price range... an excellent budget-minded speaker.

Shockingly powerful

These things pack a punch!! I compared these to the M-Audio BX5a, and for the same price, I undoubtedly chose the KRK's. The quality is absolutely suburb and the bass is what makes it "all that." Highly recommend this product to a friend.

Just what I was looking for.

I have slowly building a small studio for just a little while now, I have a recording mixer computer everything I need except for monitors, I had been using little 5 watt computer speakers but it wasn't cutting it. So I went to G/C. Shop around for monitors, The salesmen showed me alot of monitors, (Yamaha ones suck)We tried Mackie (those are awesome) but for the price KRKs were just perfect. The sound is in your face, no extra noise or distortion to deal with either. This was the way to go, and the price was just great. Get some and you'll love it.
