Comments about KAT Percussion Advanced High Performance Digital Drum Set:

great sound, alot for the money compared to ALL other kits.. the KAT KT3 is the way to go.
you will need to spend some time getting use to setting up your own user kit but its worth it.. theres alot to choose from as far as customization of this kit, it does require time to learn.. so get use to being patient and read the manual..keep it handy while setting up your own user kit.. and get the perfect sound for you..
love this set.. its a BEAST!

Definitely worth the money! These drums sound just like the real thing! I'm able to play buzz rolls to ghost notes to accents to rim shots and they pick up all of it, and everything in between! There are so many features packed into the KAT 3 it's hard to name it all.hi hat that mounts to give you the real sound and feel, choke-able cymbals, even expansion for more drums and cymbals!

Comments about KAT Percussion Advanced High Performance Digital Drum Set:

I was on the phone getting my refund labels emailed to me within 24 hours after it arrived at my house, which was 2 months after I ordered it. Sounds for the Drums were good, sounds for the Cymbals were Bad. Snare was no where near sensitive enough and wouldn't pick up my gravity blast beats at all. The buyers description is very deceptive. The picture of the item includes 4 toms and 4 cymbals, but as an added bonus, they say there is an extra cymbal input and an extra tom input, as if you could have up to 5 cymbals and 5 toms, (this was a major motivator for me when picking this specific kit). The truth is, the fourth cymbal and fourth tom that come with the drum set, must be plugged into those 'extra' plugs, so it's not really an 'extra' or 'bonus' feature. Over all it was a very bad experience, but the kit it's self wasn't no where near as bad as the Roland TD-15-KSV that I refunded just before this kit.

Comments about KAT Percussion Advanced High Performance Digital Drum Set:

I bought this kit because I was familiar with KAT trigger technology and thought the price was good compared to others. I didn't expect much from the sound module, and it didn't prove me wrong. As purely a midi device it's very nice. Running it with my VST software works great and really brought this kit to life. My only immediate concern is the rack. All clamps and connectors are plastic. I will be constantly tearing down and setting up this kit, and I'm worried about breakage already. But so far, so good.

Excelent electric by an excellent company

Comments about KAT Percussion Advanced High Performance Digital Drum Set:

I purchased an electric kit from a start up Canadian company. i was going to buy another Roland but my local guy suggested I try this first. At first I wan't happy with the middle of the road KT2 and when I asked for a return the asked me if I would instead try the new KT3 which is a phenominal electric drum kit. Further more this company stands by their product. I highly recomend them no matter your experience level!

              Below Expectations

              By A J

              from Palm Beach Shores

Comments about KAT Percussion Advanced High Performance Digital Drum Set:

I recently bought the Kat 3 Pro electronic drum set. I did not pay a lot for it so I thought I got a good deal but having the set a week now it leaves a lot to be desired. I like the rack and the way it looks, the three boom cymbals, the two floor toms, the bigger trigger pads for the snare and floor toms but the sound quality of the module isn't there, there is not one dry drum sound in the module and anyone that has mixed a live band knows where that's going all the sounds are these ringy long sustainable sounds that you can not adjust, it seems to be geared more for hip hop and rap drummers than pop or rock. I have a Yahama Dxpress set from the 90's so I am using that brain, the sounds are of much better quality.

Two of the the 8in" drum pads are all ready not working properly the are intermittent. I sent in the warranty. I have sent them emails to there "costumer service" about replacing the pads but have received no reply. If this is their Pro Set I shutter to think about the cheaper ones.

In short unless you can buy this set very cheaply and are prepared to start buying pads for it then stay away from it, save up your money and buy a Yahama DTX 562 or better and add some more pads to it.

              A J

Comments about KAT Percussion Advanced High Performance Digital Drum Set:

This is the first electronic kit I have owned. I found the module easy to use and navigate, Setting triggers and drum tones is simple. There is some bleed over between drums. The clamps are plastic and tend to slip they would have been better served made from metal.
