      John Pearse Acoustic Armrest (360600)

Lifts your arm clear off the top of the guitar, giving you all the sound your guitar has to give.

Gives your arm a more comfortable contour and also helps to protect the top of the guitar from perspiration. Most importantly, it allows you to play normally while it lifts your arm clear off the top of the guitar, giving you all the sound your guitar has to give.

The outer edge of the John Pearse Armrest is a compound curve so that it can conform to a wide variety of body shapes. It is attached to the surface by means of a double-sided adhesive strip, developed to hold it securely without harming the delicate lacquer of the soundboard. If you have a guitar that has a high value as a "collectable", you may want to reflect on the addition of an Armrest because it is not considered "Original Equipment."

The John Pearse Armrest is designed as a permanent addition to the guitar - as is a pick guard or a bridge.

  • John Pearse ebony armrest

As reviewed by Al Smith on 9/24/2009

I installed an ebony armrest on my 1991 HD35 Martin shortly after the purchase. It increases the volume by 15-20 percent. Recently I installed 3 Pearse armrests' on fellow picker's Martins. All are pleasd with the increased volume. I would not be without an armrest...my old Martin cuts through 8 or 10 pickers in a jam and can be HEARD!! It makes sense that an arm resting on a soundboard is going to deaden the sound.I get frequent remarks about how loud and great my ol' Martin sounds...makes me feel goooood!!! I also use a hand-made armrest on my custom built C.E Ward mandolin...it's the best and loudest mandolin around this area. It kick's butt!!

  • John Pearse Acoustic Armrest

As reviewed by Dennis Wilson on 6/23/2010

Never thought this product could make a difference, but after I installed the armrest, immediately I noticed the difference. Several hand-made guitars have these armrest built in and for a good reason; they work! I recommend this product for anyone wanting a fuller sound from their instrument.

  • Great product

As reviewed by John McFadyen on 1/28/2008

I had some misgivings about sticking one of these on my '67 D-18, but I was dead wrong. I only thought the old baby sounded good before. It really does exactly what is claimed. I now have one on both Martins and a Taylor, and the results were the same for each one, a more responsive better sounding instrument.
