Overview

The Jet City Amplification JCA100H 100W Tube Guitar Amp Head is Jet City's flagship guitar amp, with 2 channels of Soldano tone, 100W of pure tube power, and a great price.

The amp's Normal channel has plenty of headroom to deliver clear, bright clean tones and can be driven hard enough to get downright raunchy. The Overdrive channel is the circuit that made Soldano famous. It's been modeled and imitated, but this is the real-effing-high-gain-deal. With 100W, a bunch of tubes, a tube-buffered effects loop, and two channels (one being the legendary Soldano overdrive), the JCA100H delivers the utmost in tone, while being affordable enough for musicians slugging out a living on the small stage.

Jet City Amplifiers are designed in Seattle with a very simple "no bull" philosophy. No goofy "DSP" or "marketing knobs" to get between you and your sound. It's pure all-tube tone—from shimmering clean to thick 'n raunchy. If you wanna play smooth jazz, buy someone else's amps. Jet City's "Keep It Simple, Soldano" approach to tube amp design speaks for itself; with simple controls, cool cosmetics, and sensible pricing, Jet City Amplifiers offer a taste of the good life, at a fraction of the cost. The JCA100H is meticulously hand-built and rigorously tested, ensuring 100% legit tone, and unflinching reliability.

I own this and the matching Cab.

By Kobalt

BEST HALFSTACK EVER. I have played them all. I find this not only suitable for soft clean quiet music, but if you want a full bore metal machine, this will do it all and then over the top for quality, performance, and any expectations you would have about buying anything......period. I play several types of music through this rig, let me tell you this, IT DOES, WILL, MOST DEF. CAN do it all. The scope of this monster is sick. I could* believe it, due to the fact all parts and every aspect was handled by 3 of the best in the biz. I am over-joyed w/ this product. As long as you have a high quality instrument, you will flip, as the head and cab, produce NO UN-WANTED NOISE. CLEAN as a whistle and can keep up with the slash and thrash of the heaviest, underground metal you can put through this thing. A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++. Buy it. Before you buy something else, and trust me, you will never know what you passed up on. Anyone who bought anything other than these two products this X-mas, you missin out :(

Versitile Tone Monster

By Steven

from Crossville, TN

I got this amp 3 weeks ago and it has impressed me. I needed a step-up from my (ahem) B-52. I got more than what I bargained for. This amp can produce a great clean for Fingerstyle or Country music if that's your thing..., It also produces a great classic rock tone when the normal channel is cranked if that is your thing..., why I bought this amp was for the Overdrive channel, and it delivers Modern Metal with an awesome tone that has more than enough distortion for me. I play with the overdrive at 6 1/4 and it has more distortion than my B-52 cranked to 10. I used to tour with a Krank Rev, and this amp outdoes the Krank, no contest. I once heard a Soldano Avenger at a show in Florida and I loved the tone, it stuck with me and I sought after it, and this Jet City has that tone. I would recommend this amp to anyone in any style of music, including death metal (though you might need a slight Boost, it depends). You can even go to jet city's website and order different color baffles or a metal baffle. This amp is durable and road-worthy, I think it could survive a 12 foot drop and still look good while cracking the pavement ;). One last word - an ISP Decimator Pedal thru the effects loop on this amp makes for a quiet amp with stop and go playing while allowing sustain and doesn't color the tone.

Yup, it's the real deal!

By Shane

My dual rec is sitting on the floor jealous of the tones my JCA100H is producing! Yes, it sounds that good. It can pull off rock n roll, hard rock, metal, and blues flawlessly. The "clean" isn't prestine, but jet city even says if that's what you want buy a different amp. For the stellar price, it really can't be beat. The overdrive channel screams SLO-100. I put JJ tubes in it and biased it, and it really took it to another level. This amp sounds like a 3k boutique amp...get it NOW!!!!
