Comments about Jensen C10Q 35W 10" Replacement Speaker:

I got a Bassman 10 from GC and one of the speakers had a huge hole in it. They sent me this and it rocks and does the job! It's an almost exact replacement for that amp.

Comments about Jensen C10Q 35W 10" Replacement Speaker:

The stock speaker in my Super Champ X2 was adequate, but I felt like the tonal quality was not consistent across all volumes, and many of the models on channel 2 didn't sound very good (playing a Gretsch 5622T-cb). I chose the Jensen C10Q because it seemed to be designed for Fender clean tones and reviews were positive across many websites. It wasn't expensive, so I thought I'd give it a try. I would have been satisfied with a subtle improvement, but right out of the box it blew me away. After a simple 10 minute installation, I fired it up and it was like I had a completely new amp--everything I like about my SuperChamp is now even better. The improvements in sound quality include: more presence at all volumes; more note articulation across the tonal range; punchier low end; fantastic and consistent tone at all volumes, including much improved clean tones all the way up to volume 10; great improvements to all amp models on channel 2--I will actually use several of them now because the distinct character of each has become more apparent. Note that on channel 1 this 35W speaker gives the 15W amp lots of headroom. So if you're looking for clean tones even at high volume, this speaker is for you. Dirt is easy to come by using my distortion, OD and fuzz pedals, which sound great through this speaker, as do the dirty models on channel 2. I felt like I rolled the dice not being able to hear this product in action before I purchased it, but I am glad that I did!

Comments about Jensen C10Q 35W 10" Replacement Speaker:

Right out of the box the sound of the speaker seems to be much cleaner/clearer, but I am still breaking it in. Installation into my amp (Fender Frontman 25) was a breeze, if it wasn't for a stubborn locktited bolt it would have taken about 15-20 minutes. I'm happy with the upgrade so far.

Comments about Jensen C10Q 35W 10" Replacement Speaker:

Installed a C10Q in a Fender Super Champ XD. Really glad I did. The original speaker was adequate for what it is. It does have a somewhat fendery sound, but has no power, and sounded a bit restrained. The C10Q has a perfect fender sound and plenty of volume. A full rich sound and plenty of it. It really opened up the amp. I'm very pleased with this purchase. Other reviewers have said pretty much the same thing about the speaker. They are right.

            • Alternate For 5e3 Amp

Comments about Jensen C10Q 35W 10" Replacement Speaker:

I installed this speaker as an alternate to the Weber 12A1125A in my hand made Tweed Deluxe. It's a decent speaker with a nice response range and a bell-like voice. It takes all of 40 hours of playing time at volume to break it in, and I suggest you put the amp in a closet and play it medium loud to properly exercise the speaker. There's a metallic character, or kind of a fizzy sound in this speaker's upper registers that you may like if you're looking for shimmering clear tones.

Real nice Speaker made in Italy!

Comments about Jensen C10Q 35W 10" Replacement Speaker:

Hey you guys! Dropped this Jensen in a Fender Super Champ XD and it sounds Great! Was impressed it said Made in Italy! The wattage of the speaker is about 15 watts greater than the amp, so I'm figurin' it's a good match. Getting great pinch harmonics at "In my basement volumes" and waiting for the weather to warm more so I can try it outside. Played it with a Schecter Gryphon and it sounds great, next the Strat with Tx Special pickups. The Southern Rock, and retro, sound fantastic. So far, at least as good as the Eminence Ragin' Cajun I had in it. Diggin' this sound.

Replacement for Super Champ XD speaker

            By Ben Cavanaugh

            from Western Pennsylvania

Comments about Jensen C10Q 35W 10" Replacement Speaker:

I got the Jensen after inquiring about speaker replacements/modifications on my Fender Super Champ XD. While I loved the amp with it's stock Fender speaker, the Jensen really brought the amp to life! I haven't had time to break the speaker in yet but even fresh out of the box it sounds great. Super Champ XD owners listen up! This is an easy upgrade to your amp and only requires a Philips head screw driver. If you don't want to spend the money on a Celestion or Eminence I really can't say enough good things about this speaker. I use the Super Champ XD for practice at home and practicing with different bands. This speaker will increase the volume of your SCXD, buying the Jensen C10R 25W speaker would be better for just practicing in the bedroom. I like the increase in volume it has provided in order to cut through the mix when playing with drums, bass, other guitars, etc... I have only had the speaker in an amp for about a month but it seems to be holding up well. The speaker was solid and in mint condition when I received it and still is today. I highly recommend this speaker for upgrading your sound!

            Buttery Smooth Goodness

            By GARY JAMESON

            from Wichita, Kansas

Comments about Jensen C10Q 35W 10" Replacement Speaker:

Ordered 2 of these to replace the original 18 watt Jensen Vibranto speakers in my '62 Tremolux Amp. I couldn't be happier with the results. Clean, they just shimmer and sparkle, with plenty of mid and low response. Distorted, they shine equally well. I'm a nut about high-end response. I like loads of screaming, shimmering treble bite, and these Jensens deliver it by the truckload. You can always tone down the highs if you want, but if you have speakers with limited treble response, you can't turn the treble up enough, or the bass low enough to compensate. Overall, these speakers deliver beautifully well-rounded tone, no matter what style you are playing. Definitely a great buy!

Comments about Jensen C10Q 35W 10" Replacement Speaker:

when u think of 'clean , shimmery' tone , think fender and jensen . for this amount of $$ , it doesn't get any better . sure , you can buy and/or configure a 'better' amp/speaker combo , but on a budget , this is top shelf . it's about tone , not the name on the box . this speaker is more than adequate for almost every application . you can buy higher end stuff , but as for bang for your buck , this is it .
