Originally introduced in the late '40s, Jensen P Series loudspeakers were used in countless vintage amps and today are considered one of the most important contributions to the sound of rock 'n' roll. The P10R uses the same lightweight, efficient alnico magnets, copper voice coil windings, and seamed paper cones to create the pure vintage tone loved by guitarists throughout the world.
put a very used p10r in a 7yr old fender frontman 25r series 1 and it sounds very, very good . no "major" differences were apparent at first but after a while i began to appreciate the subtle, high quality cleans and chimes of this speaker also, it brings the od channel a lil closer to being legit before the swap , due to a blown oem , this 25r was on the verge of being sold for mere pocket change . after the swap it has now become my fave lil amp . sounds better than a blues jr and a lot lighter , too .
Ok, so I was going to get some vintage type speaker for my Fender amp and then I pulled the old ones out and just decided to go with the same ones. I forgot how awesome these are right out of the box! Plus they move a lot of air. The Alnico magnets truly set these apart from regular 10 inch speakers. Good range all the way through and a gut punching bottom end. Definitely worth a review of 5 stars. LOVE EM!
