I put this jensen speaker in a 15 watt roland cube amp and now there is tone coming from it that was not coming from the oem one. It now soumds great and its a joy just to listen to the amp.I highly recommend this speaker.
I have a vintage Dean Markley amp. The Jensen speaker made it sound like the day I took it out of the box.
This little speaker gives smaller amps a very classic sound. Overall the speaker is good construction. It breaks up nicely and gives off a very pleasant tone. I used this as a replacement for my Bugera V5 8" speaker. The original speaker was fine but I wanted something a bit brighter. The issue I have is when you drive a small speaker they often will start making very unpleasant sounds once they are pushed past there breaking point. This the power handling of this speaker I can crank my amp all the way up, and drive it more with a boost/OD pedal and it still doesn't hit it's ceiling. The way I think of it is that if you get a smaller amp with a 8" speaker most of the time those amps run $125 or less. In order for that company to make money they need to keep costs as low as possible. After you take in to account the store's profit, shipping, development, advertising, build costs and all of the parts your lucky to get a amp with a $10.00 speaker. This will definitely be a upgrade in most cases. For the money This little speaker is a great buy and it's worth trying out.
