Overview

Jackson X Series guitars are loaded with purebred Jackson DNA-neck-through-body construction, hot humbucking pickups, bound compound radius fingerboards with their distinctive sharkfin inlays, and stunning finishes. Classic Jackson models imbued with the X factor, with fantastic tone, ultra-fast playability and unbelievable value for 21st century guitarists.

The Jackson Soloist SLXFMG has a basswood body with a flame maple top veneer, through-body maple neck and active EMG 85 (neck) and EMG 81 (bridge) humbucking pickups that deliver well-balanced tone with tight bass, glassy mids and crunching highs. Its bound compound radius rosewood fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out. Other features include a Floyd Rose Special double-locking two-point tremolo, 24 jumbo frets and three-way pickup switching.

Comments about Jackson SLXFMG Electric Guitar:

Picked up this Jackson last week and had it shipped to the Guitar Center brand-new. It plays awesome. All the frets play great with no bad ones. The pickups sound good and once I got the strings in check, it has not gone out of tune since (and I'm am a heavy whammy bar player). The black transparent color is looks great too.
Only gripe was that when I tuned to 440 standard - the Floyd pulled up. I took it into the GC the next day and for a small fee - they fixed it right up.
When considering this guitar, I also looked at the Ibanez S670QM and hands down, the Jackson won. The Ibanez just seemed cheaply made.
If this is your price range for a guitar, you can't go wrong. Rock on!
