One name is synonymous with the utmost in high-performance guitar design—Jackson, the progenitor of all musical speed machines. Conceived as a launching platform for technically advanced guitar playing, the SLATHXMG(M)3-6 Soloist is rife with Jackson’s bloodline—sophisticated ergonomic design, ultra-fast playability and, of course, monstrous tone.
Dual graphite reinforcement rods run the length of the maple neck with speed profile to fortify it against the extremes of nature, buttressing it against warping while a speedy 12”-16” compound radius maple fingerboard creates the ideal playing surface for fat riffs and easy chording near the black plastic nut while gradually flattening in the upper registers for lightning-quick solos and wide bends without fear of fretting out.
A pair of EMG active humbucking pickups—an 85 neck pickup and 81 bridge pickup—generate versatile, huge and high output tones for brutal distortion and clear, crisp cleans. The Hardtail 6 strings-thru-body bridge produces massive sustain with enhanced note attack, and when combined with the Jackson-branded tuning machines, rock-solid tuning stability along with precise intonation.
Classic Jackson appointments include the instantly recognizable piranha inlays, stable Dunlop dual-locking strap buttons, black hardware, single-ply neck binding and the Soloist’s ergonomically arched top for playing blazing licks with comfort. Sleek, refined, and dangerous, the SLATHXMG(M)3-6 Soloist is art brought to life, tempered with high-tech performance for the ultimate metal machine. Case sold separately.

Comments about Jackson SLATHXMGQ3-6 Soloist Electric Guitar:
I like a guitar with a set neck or neck thru body. I just think it is sleek and stays in tune better. I like 24 frets. Sometimes I will go that high on a lead. Ash body means it is lighter for those long gigs. The finish is great with colors that match the band. The pickups are loud and have the signature humbucker sound. It is an active guitar with a battery so when you tune down the volume on the guitar, it doesn't loose treble like passive guitars. It has a carved top and the pickup switch is away from the strum zone. I always accidentally hit the pickup switch on my strat. This is a modern guitar with all the right stuff. The guys in the band like the way it sounds. It is worth the money.
