The Jackson SL1 USA Soloist Electric Guitar has a combination of thru-body neck, heelless construction, fast neck profile, and compound-radius fretboard that give it a feel and sound like no other. Seymour Duncan pickups and Floyd Rose Original tremolo come standard on the SL1. The USA Soloist features alder body wings, maple neck, and a bound ebony compound-radius fretboard.

Jackson's compound-radius fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out. With a more relaxed hand, you'll play better! Includes case.

Fantastic Guitar!

By ExtremelyAggressiveMan

This guitar is incredible. It sounds fantastic when you play clean or with loads of distortion. The bridge pickup is great for hard rock and metal while the single coils give you great versatility with clean tones. I will also tell you that this is the most comfortable guitar out there. The fingerboard is smooth and flattens as you approach the higher frets which will allow you to do really high bends easily and without fretting out. The neck through construction along with a good brass block for the tremolo results in sustain that rivals a Les Paul. This is a guitar you absolutely have to try if you are a lead guitar player. Playing the same stuff you play on a Schecter, PRS, or Gibson will be effortless since you can have this guitar setup to have extremely low action without encountering fret buzz. I rate this guitar 5 stars because it smokes just about every guitar out there.

Made in U.S.A. - Buy one.

By bass_player92120

I received this guitar from guitar center during Hanukkah 5770 (2009). I'm a Fender bass player and I wanted a quality guitar to use for recording. It's black, has a wide flat neck with all the whammie-bar hardware. Looking back, I would have preferred one without a whammie-bar, but the quality of the hardware is consistent with the price. Viewing the neck from the bridge to the nut,the neck is the straightest I've ever seen on any of my previous Fender or Gibson guitars. The inlays and finger board remind me of a Les Paul Custom, but with a wider, thinner neck. Jackson bills it as a High-Performance guitar; interesting sales pitch, but unless you're playing Staccato (Short fast detached notes) like a buzz-saw, it's still just spankin-the-plank to me. Should you buy this guitar? Maybe, maybe not, but I would recommend almost any Jackson made in U.S.A. over most other brands. Jackson cannot replace a good Fender or Gibson, but the quality is consistent with an instrument which could last a lifetime. I am satisfied with my purchase and look forward to learning the ax (as every guitar has it's own personality). It's expensive, but it comes with a case and my dollars support U.S.A. jobs, so honored to help someone stay employed. I wish all the employees at the Jackson company, and Guitar Center long life and a prosperous year.

You Need One

Simply one of the best guitars you'll ever play. I bought my first SL1 about 5 years ago and it still amazes me everytime I pick it up. Everything from the crunch of a driving riff to the cleanest tones of a ballad this guitar delivers.
