Overview

The strikingly designed Jackson RR3 Rhoads Pro Electric Guitar is built for extreme players. The alder body (with flamed maple top on the transparent finishes) joins up with the maple neck and compound-radius rosewood fretboard. Shredder-friendly features include jumbo frets; a Floyd Rose-licensed, Jackson low-profile, double-locking tremolo; Seymour Duncan JB TB4 (bridge) and Jazz SH2N (neck) humbuckers; and volume/volume/tone with 3-way switching. Black hardware completes the visuals.

Jackson's compound-radius fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out. With a more relaxed hand, you'll play better! Includes deluxe Jackson/SKB molded case.

Shred Me A Winner

By Lawrence D

from Brunswick, Ohio

Comments about Jackson RR3 Rhoads Electric Guitar:

Wow, I got this guitar as a gift for Christmas and it was the best gift that I have ever received! The locking tremolo will have you doing squeals and whaling on this beast all day long, the neck is so smooth and there is almost no friction while moving up and down it, and the pickups are Seymour Duncans. Now, there are probably some better Seymour Duncan pickups, but these ones are AMAZING. It also has very good strap holders, I didn't even need to put on my new strap locks for it. It's light weight and has the greatest tone I've ever come by and at this price you CANNOT go wrong! You'll be shredding on this thing night and day until you're fingers AND ears bleed!

RR3

By Trevor

Comments about Jackson RR3 Rhoads Electric Guitar:

This guitar is mad sick! The whole feel of this guitar is just amazing. The seymour duncan pickups give the guitar an awesome sound. Ive had mine for nearly a year now..and not had not one problem with it ever. It sounds great out of any amp (i use a Line 6). Comes in couple different colors, mines black. The locking tuners are a life saver...once its tuned...its tuned and lock those bad boys. The Flyod rose is the only pain n the butt though. if u dont know how to restring a floyd rose guitar..this uwld not be the guitar froyu...cause as i said its a pain n the butt.

Comments about Jackson RR3 Rhoads Electric Guitar:

this guitar is awesome. I bought it without ever playing it and was nervous. but it is awesome and i havent put it down at all. its light and has a great neck and the seymor duncans are fantastic. the floyd rose isnt as good as ibanez's edge tremelo, but its still really good. this thing is 100 percent randy rhoads and way way more.

Awesome!

By Bruno

Comments about Jackson RR3 Rhoads Electric Guitar:

Great guitar, got it last week and there's nothing to complain about.. Looks great, even better than the picture, sounds even better, good pickups with very heavy output,.. and it doesn't matter how hard you try, its never out of tune.. thanks guitar center team, I'm from Brazil and without your efforts things would have been even harder.. Thanks so much! Recommend the guitar for everyone.. feels weird to play it while sitting down on the first few days, but its just a matter of time to get used to it.. Best instrument ever!

Amazing!

By Stephen

from Phoenix, Az

Comments about Jackson RR3 Rhoads Electric Guitar:

This guitar is absolutley amazing! I was at Guitar Center yesterday for about 10 hours trying to find a guitar that I liked and I played on this one for about 3 or 4 hours and it is simply amazing. Every amp that I plugged into made this guitar sound simply amazing. The only thing that I would change is swapping the bridge pickup with a Dimebucker for a more intense metal sound.

Shred away!

By Tommy Bomber

from Indiana

Comments about Jackson RR3 Rhoads Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar at a pawn shop about a year ago and let me tell you! I came home plugged it in and started shredding. The Duncan pickups can pull off some crazy squeals and chunk harder than any Dean I've played. The Floyd rose can be a bit of a hassle if you dont know what your doing but overall is amazing! Divebomb's anyone? lol Awesome clean sound as well and I got the Trans Blue, it looks stunning.I wouldn't recomend it as a 1st guitar. But for more experienced players it's just right for live shows

yay

By Nick

Comments about Jackson RR3 Rhoads Electric Guitar:

This guitar for the most part is great. It would help if it were neck through, but it's no big deal. The compound radius neck is really fast and comfortable. The pickups sound really awesome and provide great sustain and kind of make up for it not being a set neck. The bridge position pickup is nice and hot, and the neck position sounds great too when you want to go with a hot-bluesier tone (sounds awesome for leads.) When you are playing the guitar standing up, it has a pretty awkward balance to it, it wants to tilt forward and kind of face the ground so sometimes you feel like you have to reach over the body just a bit when picking. Also, the floyd rose, although it is really fun and is great for doing all the squeelies and such, is pretty high maintenance. Overall, its a great feeling and sounding and well-built guitar that I have had for about 3 years.

Fairly good

By Jared M.

from Reno, Nevada

Comments about Jackson RR3 Rhoads Electric Guitar:

I love this guitar! It's been great for gigs, and the neck is the fastest, most comfortable I've played. My only complaint is, it was first guitar with a floyd rose, and I've learned I dislike them greatly. Also it would be nice if it was neck through, the block is huge. I'd replace the pick-ups to I wasn't to impressed with them. Besides that this is a great slid guitar. Great for some one doing they're first shows.
