Standing head and shoulders above the rest in a crowded field of “me too” instruments, the Pro Soloist SL2M is a highly engineered shredding machine. Jackson created the high-tech guitar, and the DNA and legacy shine brightly in this easy playing, gigantic-sounding guitar. Striking aesthetics, versatile tone and the pinnacle of advanced guitar craftsmanship unite in the SL2M.
Chosen specifically for their complementary sound, a pair of Seymour Duncan humbucking pickups drives this guitar’s versatile sound—a T6-6 Distortion bridge pickup and SH-6N neck pickup combine for flexible tone, with plenty of output for crisp cleans and snarling distortion. Master volume and tone controls shape the pickups’ output, which can be further refined with the three-position blade pickup switch for the precise voice you need to bring your musical vision to life.
Make your playing dive and soar expressively with the Floyd Rose FRT-O2000 double-locking tremolo bridge which is recessed for your pick hand comfort and provides laser-accurate intonation and ultra-stable tuning when combined with the Floyd Rose R3 locking nut.
The 12”-16” compound radius maple fingerboard is designed for highly technical lightspeed playing—more curved by the nut for comfortable chording, it flattens out as you move up the neck for increasingly fast playing speed and wide bends without fretting out. The ergonomic Soloist body shape is designed for player comfort and increased balance, eliminating the dread “neck dive” that has brought many a headstock to a sad, untimely end.
Jackson has a history of adding striking style to its high performance instruments, and this axe is no exception. The brooding all-black hardware wears well, refusing to show the rigors of the road it may encounter while the durable gloss finish, piranha tooth (small sharkfin) neck inlays, single ply neck binding and Jackson’s signature pointed 6-In-Line headstock establish this instrument’s unmistakable pedigree. The ideal instrument for soaring leads, squealing pinch harmonics and chunky palm-muted riffage, the Pro Soloist SL2M is a more-than-worthy competitor in the musical ring.

Comments about Jackson Pro Soloist SL2M Electric Guitar:
I'm a Les Paul guy, always have been. I also ordered this guitar, sight/trial unseen.
I was due for a Strat to mix things up, but for what ever reason, I'm not a big fan. I am also not fond of imported guitars, but for my needs and playing, I don't need a collection of $3000 guitars. Being a citizen of the 1980's, I was into the metal craze and wanted a shredder and longer scale/24 frets. I've owned and sold a few Schecters and even picked up a Jeff Loomis only to return it a few days later for this SL2M. I must say, at 25% the cost and weight of my Gibson's, I wasn't expecting much, but man was I was pleasantly surprised! There is a lot of sound coming from this paper thin axe. You can overdrive even the cheapest guitars and make them sound good, but the cleans are my test and it's impressive; I am also comparing them sonically to a Standard and Traditional much thicker Les Paul's. If Jackson's import is this good, I am curious as to their USA line quality (I'm sure I'll have one soon). I wanted a thru-neck maple fret board, because of this fact, the finish choices were very limited. The poly white finish had a few very small quality control issues with over spray into the pickup compartments, nothing I can't deal with, but none the less, it passed by QC checks. New to Floyd Rose. Initially hated it, but once strings broke in, guitar stays in tune well.
